Members of Pacific Beach United Methodist Church (PB UMC) hosted an open house for a bake and t-shirt sale on Sunday, Aug. 21, to support the Education Rooms Renovation Project.
The church’s website announced that the event's theme was “The Lord is Our Shepherd and Lambs of God.” They said that they made those cookies, cupcakes, and shortbread at home.
According to the website, the congregation could order their preferred size and color of t-shirts. The church sells shirts with the theme, as further mentioned on the website.
Inviting, Welcoming people
At PB UMC, the community has a family-oriented environment, as emphasized on the church’s “who are we” page. Members laugh, support, and have fun together, as further explained. The church added that they comfort and love each other as Christ loves them.
As noted on the website, PB UMC individuals believe they belong to God in Jesus. They also added that they believe that they belong to each other. Members think the Holy Spirit strengthened and called them to love and praise God.
Besides, they think they are called to mature in their spiritual journey in grace and faith. The church emphasized that God appointed them to care for each other and connect with others.

In addition, the church added that their hospitality starts with coffee and cookies. They would give coffee at the service's end and then entertain newcomers, as further explained on the website.
Meanwhile, the church hosts a visitation time in their courtyard. This event is where people can talk about their whereabouts for the week.
United Methodist Church
