Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) of Palisades Presbyterian Church looks forward to announcing their next church pastor Cassie Carroll at their all-church luncheon on May 14.

In the church announcement, the PNC has been hard working in searching for over a year. And they have found the person they believe God calls to be the church’s next shepherd.

They added that the said gathering was an opportunity for their members to meet Carroll and see what made her unique. The committee believes God has appointed her to be Palisades’ next solo pastor.

Besides, they advised members to visit anytime between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to enjoy a light lunch and have some great talk with Carroll. Then on Sunday, May 15, they will have the chance to listen to her preaching at Palisades, added to the announcement.

Afterward, they said they would have a special congregational meeting. During the meeting, the members would vote on whether to accept Carroll as their next called pastor.

Carroll stated on her YouTube video that she is so honored and excited to accept the calling to be the Palisades Presbyterian Church’s next pastor.

She also mentioned that she has lived in both Northern and Southern California and has been looking forward to being in San Diego. So she could be closer to family and have new friends and family. Carroll also said that her passion and hope in life help people experience the Devine amid life.

Moreover, she said that whenever she meets someone and hears their story, it gives them the chance to dream together and imagine the future. So she hopes to experience the exact moment with the church members. She hopes that they can dream and imagine a future for Palisades that is thriving and beautiful.

She looks forward to meeting the congregation on the candidate weekend on May 14 and 15. They could have the chance to start the said journey together.

Palisades

The Palisades Presbyterian Church believes that they exist to love God and their neighbors. The church website posted that they could do this as they seek to be the heart, hands, and feet of Jesus Christ. They mentioned that Palisades is a church in transition in an unpredictable world.

Moreover, they stated that they are a multigenerational congregation of imperfect humans. They are called to the work of God in their church, community, and the world. They do this by loving others as God first loved them.

The church welcomes individuals with their hospitality, where they pray that those who come into their church could experience the genuine and living God in their blended worship service.

They added that it is a place where they welcome natural and essential questions of faith from their attendees.

They also provide a very supportive community in one’s spiritual, intellectual, and practical search, they added. The church also offers fellowship and friendship where they believe that these are both characteristics of their shared life in Jesus.
