Saddleback Church to conduct Class 201-My

Saddleback Church invites members to grow deeper into their spiritual life by joining Class 201 on May 1 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Saddleback San Diego Church Office.

According to the church’s website announcement, the said course will help participants enrich their habits to level up their spiritual maturity. This class would give them an idea of the three essential spiritual habits every believer needs to grow. The church would discuss daily time with God, including prayer and Bible reading. Members would also learn more about giving and fellowship.

The church also informed members that the said classes are intended for 12 years old and above. Complimentary lunch for participants would also be available, the church stated.

Kick-Start Spiritual Growth

Rob Jacobs, Pastor for Spiritual Maturity of Saddleback Church, stated his message on their YouTube Video. He said that one of the essential things a Christian can do is jump-start their spiritual maturity. They can take this class no matter where they are in their relationship with God. He emphasized that Class 201 would guide members to continue their spiritual journey. They would also give them the tool they need for their lifelong walk with Jesus.

Besides, Jacobs added that they would cover four habits. These habits would completely change their life and friendship with Jesus. They would also teach participants to begin by taking small but powerful steps.

The pastor also said that members should not miss this opportunity to mature. He said this is the right time for those who finish Class 101 to take their next spiritual step by taking Class 201.

Growing Spiritually; Deepen Daily Time with God

The church’s website shared various resources to help members become healthier and grow more like Jesus. One of the given resources is for individuals’ Spiritual Health, wherein they said that this is one of the secrets to real friendship with God.

The Church’s Spiritual Growth Team highlighted that they are offering a new virtual retreat by Pastor Buddy Owens. They called this Deeper Devotion. The said retreat is a workshop intended to help congregations deepen their relationship with the Lord.

More importantly, they said that Deeper Devotion would remove someone’s guilt from their devotional journey. They said that members would learn how to listen to God speak through His words. They would also teach members to respond to Him in a conversational prayer without thinking about time. Thus, the church mentioned that the said devotion would reveal the secrets to having a genuine friendship with God.

Silence & Solitude: Christian Spiritual Practices

Another resource the church shared to help members in their spiritual maturity is about Meeting God in Silence & Solitude. They shared the Christian Spiritual Practices. According to the said booklet, the Saddleback Spiritual Maturity Team is excited for members to read this series because they experienced these practices as their foundation during their times of retreat and their walk with God.

The team hopes that the said material could be an essential help for their members in their times with God. They also desire the said series to help them go deeper and cultivate a life that abides and fully lives in Christ.
