RB Community Church works on gifting others this Thanksgiving Holiday. It announces its Thanksgiving Dinner Bag Project.

Bag Giveaway for Thanksgiving

RB Community Church shares details about its Thanksgiving Dinner Bag Project. On its website, the church announces its plans of reaching out to military families and those living on a limited income within the PUSD boundaries.

Together with STEP, 4 Community Care, and Student Services, the church will be handing Thanksgiving Dinner Bag Project through PUSD.

RB Community Church calls on its members to contribute to this project. As stated on the webpage, anyone who wants to contribute may pick bags during the drive-thru events in the upper parking lot on Nov. 6 and Nov. 13. A list of preferred donations comes with these bags.

They may also pick them up in the Courtyard Sunday, Nov.7.

Some of the food and items requested are canned goods, turkey gravy (jar or can), aluminum foil, and a $20 gift card to Vons or Stater Brothers intended for turkey and fresh food, the website said.

The final collection date is Nov. 14, Sunday, after services.

Other Ways to Give Through RB Community Church

Aside from the Thanksgiving Dinner Bag Project, RB Community Church conducts regular outreach that addresses food insecurity and provides other essential items for those who need extra help.

Jeans for Vets

As shared on the church webpage, Carpenters Fellowship is asking for donations. The church encourages its members to donate new and gently used clean clothes.

Carpenters Fellowship will give these clothes to veterans living at Veterans Village San Diego. Currently, Carpenters Fellowship is collecting items for men only. The church provided a list of needed donations.

Those who want to give are advised to wash all gently used items before donating. There are limited laundry facilities at the Veterans Village. Monetary donations are also welcome; checks can be made out to Veterans Village of San Diego or AMVETS.

Collections will be on Nov.13, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Drive-Thru Food Drop-Off

The next Drive-Thru Food Drop-off will be on Dec. 4, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at the upper parking lot. Donations help keep local food pantries in operation.

The church encourages its congregation to donate to serve families in need. This is a drive-thru food drop-off event. The church announces that Salvation Army will benefit from this scheduled drive-thru food drop-off.

Salvation Army serves families and seniors in the North County and Escondido area.

The church requests include a list of food and toiletries items. Cash and checks must be made out to the Salvation Army.
