The Rock Academy at Rock Church has set up a production of the Lion King Jr. This event for the whole family will feature performances beginning March 31.

The Rock Church's school – The Rock Academy, organizes unique and free performances of the Lion King Jr. The Rock Academy invites families to come and enjoy the songs from the movie.
KUSI News reported about the performances. According to KUSI, all songs are from the Broadway Musical, but The Rock Academy ensured to give credit to the movie. Allie Wagner visited the Rock Church, Point Loma, to know how the academy was preparing for the presentations.
Performances happen this Thursday and Friday. As shared in the report, over 40 students play roles on the show. The performers stated how it was like being on stage again after two years.
As one of the students shared, The Rock Academy canceled performances last year. After all the announcements and preparation, the show did not push through. It was a sad thing.
Furthermore, the student stated that the Lion King, Jr. production was an excellent alternative for the canceled show last year. It is a good way for a comeback of performances at The Rock Academy.
The performances also feature songs from the 1994 film. The show is appropriate for all ages. As stated in the report, The Rock Academy is empowering leaders who have opportunities to use their gifts in blessing the community. It wanted to invite the community to come out.
As shared in the report, performers were from third to 12 graders. The Lion King, Jr is scheduled for three shows, two on Thursday and one on Friday. All performances are free, and no tickets are required.
According to The Rock Academy, the performances are an excellent way for students to express themselves, give back, and be part of the arts again. The Rock Academy invites everyone to come and join them at Rock Church, Point Loma.
