This diocese includes 87 parishes in Imperial, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego Counties.

At present, Bishop Robert W. McElroy is the bishop of the Diocese of San Diego.

Catholic Relief Services, Help Ukrainian Families

The Diocese of San Diego participates in helping families affected by the war in Ukraine. It encourages its parishioners to donate to Catholic Relief Services. According to its website, help is urgently needed for families in Ukraine.

Over four million people are escaping for safety to neighboring countries. They left behind their homes, jobs, and everything familiar. Donations help families in Ukraine, and nearby countries receive clothing, food, and cash assistance.

These monetary gifts to the organization help provide counseling, care for children, and transport them to safe shelters.
