San Diego Reformed Church welcomes participants in Membership Interest Class

The Membership Interest Class is a recurring event at San Diego Reformed Church. The next class happens on March 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interested to learn more about the church are welcome to attend this class.

Membership Interest Class, Six Steps

According to the church website, the church pays great importance to membership. As stated by the church, all members are disciples of Christ and are united by their identity in Him.

Moreover, San Diego Reformed Church declared that membership is a commitment to Jesus and his people by a covenant to the local church.

Such unity is shown by how one collaborates with the loving Father, loving co-believers, and loving one’s neighbors.

The church provided six simple steps to become a member of the San Diego Reformed Church:

First, all who want to be a part of the church must participate in the Membership Interest Class.

Next, a Membership Interview with the Elders follows the completion of the Membership Interest Class.

After the class and interview, these individuals would be invited to the church’s next monthly Members’ Meeting. They will be presented as a “Member Candidate.

As shared on the website, once they attend the meeting, they become prepared to be accepted as a “Full -time Member.” Such status comes after a simple majority vote of the current members. Baptism follows if they have not been baptized.

Finally, when the previous steps are accomplished, these individuals will be required to sign the” Membership Covenant.” The next schedule for Membership Interest Class are as follows:

May 15
July 17
September 18
November 20

Meanwhile, Coffee with the Pastors is another recurring event at the church. It is another opportunity to learn more about the San Diego Reformed Church, according to its website. It is a relaxed time with Pastor Rony and Pastor Zack.

Attendees can ask questions, and the meeting lasts about an hour. Coffee with the Pastor tries to cover the church’s history, theology, and mission.

The Bible Study happens on Wednesdays. Its following schedule is on March 23 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Currently, the group is digging into the book of James.

Moreover, they pray, sing, and hear the Word together. They discuss the scripture and hang out. The San Diego Reformed Church welcomes everyone to the Bible Study.

According to Facebook, the San Diego Reformed Church exists to mature followers of Christ, who live life, obeying the Word of God for the glory of Christ, the King. This faith community is located at 5150 Jackson Drive, La Mesa.

As shared on Facebook, the church had a baptism this week of a long–time member. This update was shared last March 14. Meanwhile, before the baptism, the church also congratulated Deacon Jacob Merkey as he preached at the San Diego Reformed Church for the first time.

According to the church, he is great in preaching from Romans 15:8 – 13. Worship happens on Sundays at 9:30 a.m.
