More than 300 men gather weekly at the event center of Shadow Mountain Community Church to discuss a six-week study on Courage to Conquer by Dr. David Jeremiah every Tuesday night.

The church’s website noted that the Bible study started on June 21 and would finish until August 9. They added that they meet around round tables to worship, study God’s Word, and talk about the topics together. The church mentioned that the Tuesday Night Men’s Bible study is vital to what they do in Men’s Ministry.

To be Courageous

The church also posted the topics they would have during the said course. In the first week, they talked about being courageous when fear dominates men. They based this topic on the scripture in Psalms 34:1-9. Then male participants also learned how to be strong when faith is being tested based on Romans 8:35-39.

During this study, men could also learn to have the courage to overcome frustration and distresses, as posted on the website. They used the scripture from 2 Corinthians 12:7- 10 to talk about the said topic. Besides, men could also learn how to be brave when enemies demoralize them.

In the last two weeks, they could also discover courageous ways to face future depression and when failure attacked them.

Typical Night

The same website revealed that the church has a simple goal. They start with a live worship time led by their Men’s Ministry Band. Then participants would listen to 20-minute preaching by one of their staff pastors. They said the message is focused on the book or study guide they chose for the season.

Afterward, they would have 45 minutes discussion. During this activity, men could ask questions about the topic. The website also noted that all male members who joined the event could have a free copy of the study material. They also encourage them to complete the following chapter before attending.

The activity ends with prayer and announcements. The church also provides snacks and hot coffee every Tuesday evening.

In addition, they stated that, as of now, they have three Bible study sessions available every year. They have a spring, summer, and fall study, which ranges from six to twelve weeks long, depending on the season.

Men of Courage

Moreover, men of courage have the willingness and desire to deal with challenges, face suffering, and carry out adversity successfully. The website mentioned that God designed men to be protectors and saviors of their wives and families. They are to give security and do everything needed for the well-being of their families.

The website emphasized that genuine manliness is summed up in words like conviction, courage, and strength. Besides, they stated that a man with courage would not only fight against assaults on him but also be able to resist temptations to tolerate mistakes around him.
