Skyline Church invites all dads to join

This year, Skyline Rancho and Lakeside Campuses will be holding a car show and a BBQ to celebrate Father’s Day on June 19 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church at La Mesa.

The K-Praise website announced that this event would offer various types of cars and motorcycles. They encourage members to invite their fathers, grandfathers, friends, and households to participate in the said program.

They also noted that the church would love to display members’ cars, trucks, motorcycles, or any fantastic automobiles they have for the car show. They prepared various awards, as posted on the website.

Men at Skyline Church

The Men’s Section on the church’s website revealed that the Men’s Ministry was created to assist men of all ages to find Jesus and follow Him daily. They mentioned that their aim is to help these men become better husbands and fathers. More importantly, the church’s goal is to help its male members become more faithful disciples of Jesus.

The same webpage noted that the church executed its goal by having monthly and quarterly breakfasts for male congregants. They also host extraordinary events and have created small groups.

No Men Left Behind

In line with the program’s mission, the church invites its male members to join their Men’s Monthly Gathering, as posted on another church’s webpage. They added that they would eat, sing, and study during this event. Also, they would have the opportunity to pray and meet other guys like them.

Moreover, they noted that they meet at 6 p.m. on the first Thursday of every month at the Student Center.

“No perfect people allowed,” the church stated in their announcement.

Meanwhile, the webpage also stated that their sermon series would be intensively looking at the Book of Matthew in their upcoming sessions. They added that there would be a rotation of teachers and that they would offer live worship.

They revealed that it would be a Pizza Night next month, so they encouraged their men to bring a pizza to share with other guys. The website said Pastor Tedd Brent, Lakeside Campus Pastor, would be discussing Matthew 13 to 17. Then Sal Romeri would be in charge of their Worship.

Why Men Love Cars

A blog post on the Montway website posted theories on why males are into cars. According to the post, the cars make them men. Many guys not only admire cars, but they also love driving them. They said that research from the University of Minnesota found that driving is a way for guys to show their masculinity.

Having the wheels also helps them to be in control over their wants, the website added. Besides, buying their first car is a sense of achievement even though everybody in America depends on a car or a truck to travel, as noted in the blog post.

In addition, they added that men enhance their intimate relationships with their cars because they see their vehicles as an extension of themselves. The website revealed that guys also see power, freedom, and excitement in their vehicles.
