Sonrise Church opens auditions for the Beauty

Sonrise Church, through Sonrise Performing Youth (SPY), invited children from kindergarten to grade 12 to attend the audition for the Beauty and the Beast Jr. production from Thursday to Saturday, Sept. 1 to Sept. 3.

The church’s Facebook page mentioned that SPY looks forward to creating the show for everyone.

Romantic Comedy Fantasy

According to the Disney Wiki website, Beauty and the Beast was the 30th film in the Disney Animated Canon, produced in 1991. The website added that it is the third movie in the Disney Renaissance.

They noted that it is a love story with music and comedy. The story "La Belle et la Bête" by Jeanne-Martie Leprince de Beaumont inspired the plot of Beauty and the Beast, as was later revealed.

Besides, the movie was also selected for various awards, as revealed on the website. They emphasized that Beauty and the Beast got the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture-Musical or Comedy.

It was the first time an animated film won the award, as highlighted on the website. The website added that the music played in the movie also garnered awards. Besides, they said that Beauty and the Beast was the first animated movie nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture.
