Sonrisre Performing Youth (SPY) of Sonrise Church proudly brings Aladdin JR. to life. The youth invite the congregation to watch and enjoy their musical play to show a whole new world and share a magical tale of love and finding oneself from May 20 to May 22.
The church’s Facebook post added those performances without fee and open seating. They will open the doors 30 minutes before the performance.
Sonrise Performing Youth (SPY)
The church website revealed that the church website created SPY to bring individuals to know the salvation of Jesus Christ through performing arts. Children from kindergarten to Grade 12th learn to sing and dance, all for the Glory of God through their productions.
The church also posted some previous performances, including Annir Jr., Frozen Jr, and Marry Poppins Jr. They also performed A Christmas Carol in 2018 and Peter Pan Jr in spring 2018.
Children's Programs
At Sonrise, they mentioned working with parents to help children create a genuine faith and character through enriching relationships with Jesus and others, posted on the children’s ministry page. They added that they have various programs for infants through fifth grade. There is a place for their children at Sonrise, the website stated.
Moreover, the church highlighted their Noah’s Ark Playroom. This room is designed for infants to four-year-olds. They are open on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m and Sundays at 9 a.m and 10:30 a.m.
On the other hand, Sonrise Kids is for kindergarten through grade five. They call it Camp Sonrise, where children have fun and learn how much Jesus loves them. During their Sunday service, the church announced they have a raffle, praise and worship, and Sunday school lessons. They added that they teach various Bible stories so parents can join services.
Youth Programs
According to the Youth Ministry section, Sonrise Church designed a ministry for teenagers. Sonrise High School (SHS) meets every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Basement and at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays in the Den. The church mentioned that the ministry is to make a genuine community of students who want to love Jesus and others.
They also stated that teenagers learn to serve their neighbors in this ministry. They encourage high school students to join them for high-energy worship and fellowship. Through this ministry, they would also learn more about the Bible.
In addition, Sonrise Middle School (SMS) is designed for the sixth to eighth grade, where they meet at 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the Sonrise Parking lot and in the Basement on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
It is a place where every middle school child can enrich their faith in Jesus. They could also have a closer relationship with great friends. The website added that in this ministry, they are motivated and supported by fun and caring leaders.
Church’s Mission
Sonrise Church desires to reach its community for Jesus Christ. They aim to train the people of God to live and serve Him. Also, they noted that they cultivate relationships because God wants them to level up in their maturity.
