The youth at Redeemer Presbyterian Church will unleash their potential in arts. On March 5, the church will host a Bob Ross Painting Party for 6th – 12th graders. The event will occur in the Redeemer Patio area from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. 

Bob Ross Painting Party

The Student Ministry hosts a painting-themed event for the Redeemer Presbyterian Church youth students. According to the church's website, the Bob Ross Painting Party is scheduled for March 5. 

Participants will be following a video of Bob Ross's painting. The video will serve as a guide for creating their artworks. Redeemer Presbyterian Church will provide all materials for the Bob Ross Painting Party. 

Aside from creating artworks, the event is an opportunity to eat and fellowship together. Redeemer Presbyterian Church invites all student youth to join the Bob Ross Painting Party. It encourages everyone to take a break from screen time and attend an in-person, face–to–face event.

 As shared on Bob Ross Inc.'s website, he's well–known everywhere as one of the most iconic and memorable personalities on television. According to this website, Bob Ross has taught, inspired, and entertained millions of people across the U.S. and the globe through his gentle approach and humor.

Moreover, Bob Ross was born Robert Norman Ross in Daytona, Florida, on October 29, 1942. In 1960, Bob joined the Air Force. When he left the Air Force, he returned home to Florida. 

Bob attended different art schools and painting classes. Then, he discovered William Alexander teaching the "wet–on–wet" painting technique. He continued to experiment and refine this technique and created a version of his own – the "alla prima" or "direct painting."

In 1982, along with his partners, Bob launched The Joy of Painting on television. He traveled across America teaching others to paint and at the same time gained popularity for his show. He taught art classes in malls and art stores. 

Bob recorded more than 400 episodes from 1982 to 1994. These numbers made The Joy of Painting one of the most popular shows on television until today. Thousands of instructors around the globe taught his methods.

His popularity reached Twitter through Bob Ross Inc. The Bob Ross Official on Twitter has 4124 tweets as of today and is described as a home to happy little quotes, Bob Ross-related news, and peaceful landscapes. 

Bob Ross Official tweeted on December 22, 2021, one of Bob Ross's lines. It was labeled from Series 13 Episode 13, 1988 – "You can do anything that you want to, all you have to do is believe."

Redeemer Presbyterian Church 

This faith community is located at 1831 S El Camino Real Encinitas. Worship happens on Sundays at 8:15 a.m., 9:45 a.m., and 11:15 a.m. According to its website, Redeemer Presbyterian Church is the gospel-centered, outward-facing, multi-ethnic, and intergenerational church.
