Church & Its Dream
The church’s website emphasizes that its mission is to help people find and follow Jesus. With this, the church envisions developing spiritually mature disciples of Jesus. They want to achieve this by connecting through worship and community groups. They also desire to grow through discipleship. The church mentioned that they like to invest through serving others.
Another important dream they stated is their desire to become determined in pursuing others for Jesus. They could do this by sharing the Good News of God’s saving grace. It is the dream of the church to live out the Greatest Commandment of loving God and His people.
Besides, the church dreams of a venue where the hurting can have help, and the weak can have strength. Also, they desire to be a place where the depressed can find comfort and the lonely could have a friend. They also yearn to help the confused find peace and hope that could be seen by the hopeless.
The church also yearns to be a sanctuary where individuals can be genuine with God, others, and themselves. They wanted to be a place where people enjoy unity in their diversity regarding age, gender, economic status, and race. The church wanted to continue to be the image of heaven on earth by the tapestry of their racially diverse environment.
Feeling Stressed on Finances
In an article written by Mary J. Moerbe on the Crossway website, she discussed some essential points to remember when Christians are dealing with some financial struggles. She noted that Believers could also have some financial problems.
Some live paycheck to paycheck, while some are in deep debt. Moerbe added that even wealthy people often have issues with their household budget and survival. On top of financial matters, some people also have worries and insecurities about how they could deal with their relationships, responsibilities, and priorities.
Meanwhile, the writer revealed that most believers are not below the poverty line. She said they are more likely financially stretched and conflicted. Rather than not having enough money, she emphasized that believers are worried and overwhelmed. But, God takes care of His children as a father.
Besides, she noted that God called His people to practice the gift of being a good steward. As stewards, Christians have the freedom to manage God-s gifts they receive as what is written on God’s word. The writer mentioned that they accept that both debts and the needs of others are within God’s range. When they seek God’s guidance and depend upon his will, they are free to rely on Him.
