The Church at Rancho Bernardo organizes a volunteer event to assemble care packages for several charities in the San Diego Area. It is scheduled for Saturday, April 9, from 9 a.m. until noon. More than 125 volunteers will be present for the event.
Good Neighbor Day, Be A Good Neighbor
According to the KUSI report, The Church at Rancho Bernardo arranges a volunteer event. This coming Saturday, the church will welcome volunteers to prepare care packages.
The church will deliver these various care packages to multiple organizations for foster youth. Over 125 volunteers will assemble college – kickoff backpacks for foster youth and laundry supply kits for youth in the North County Lifeline Group.
The event will also prepare Easter Goodie Bags for the “Voices for Children” program, food package for Interfaith, etc.
Kyle Moss, Impact Director at The Church at Rancho Bernardo, provided details of the event at KUSI’s “Good Evening San Diego.” According to Moss, everyone is welcome in the volunteer event.
She also stated that the church knows that many want to help. They want to start with their community with one person at a time or one snack pack or other various ways.
North County Lifeline Group
According to the website, the North County Lifeline’s mission is to build self–reliance among adults, families, and youth through high-quality, community–based services.
Moreover, the North County Lifeline is a community–based human services organization that caters to low-income and underserved people in San Diego County.
The organization serves over 5,000 members of the community yearly. This service is made possible through clinically – vital and evidence-based programs that emphasize positive youth development, domestic violence intervention, housing and self–sufficiency, child abuse
prevention, human trafficking victims, behavioral health, and survivor services.
Voices for Children
“A child ahead. A life changed.”
As shared on its webpage, Voices for Children is an organization that provides volunteer advocates to children in foster care.
Voices for Children ensures children have all the opportunities to achieve stability. It matches these children with caring volunteers – the CASAs. They advocate for the children’s best interests.
Interfaith Services
As shared on its website, Interfaith Community Services equips people in need to stabilize and improve their lives through comprehensive programs. The organization partners with different faith communities and people of compassion.
The Interfaith Services serve the youth, unemployed, homeless, families, veterans, seniors, and low–income population. As stated on Facebook, it's been helping people help themselves since 1979.
Good Neighbor Day, Voices for Children Day
According to the church website, it is now focusing its projects on helping those in the Foster Youth community. According to The Church at Rancho Bernardo, everyone can engage in this cause by participating in its SeaWorld Ticket Drive from March 27 to April 9.
The tickets can help the local foster youth organization, Voices for Children, give a safe and fun outing for their 1,000 CASAs to take the kids. The church invites everyone to take part in this cause.
The Good Neighbor offers many ways to serve, including service in the community, church, and donations.
