The Church at Rancho Bernardo (RB) encourages its congregation to join the Back 2 School Backpack Drive hosted by the Boys & Girls Club on July 27, Wednesday, at Clairemont Mesa Blvd, San Diego.
The church's website announced that volunteers would sort school supplies and stuff backpacks. Members could join in two shifts: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., as posted on the website.
Additionally, The Church at RB informed its congregation that they would provide water, granola bars, and fruit throughout the day. Those volunteers on site during noon could also enjoy pizza, as further noted in the announcement.
According to the website, the event would be an indoor and outdoor volunteer program with no club members.
The church also added that they would not ask volunteers to bring their proof of vaccination.
Club for Boys and Girls
The San Diego Youth website revealed that the Boys & Girls Club aims to motivate and allow young people to be successful in their academics. They desire to help establish good character and accountable individuals in society.
Besides, they noted the club seeks to create healthy living choices for the youth.
The club's program revealed that the Boys & Girls Club of Greater San Diego created various activities. It is to help young people boost their self-confidence and widen their knowledge. The club also created these programs to enrich children’s mental and physical development.
In addition, the website said that through these events, children could have the opportunity to have perspective on their future potential. They mentioned that the club conducts all activities in a fun atmosphere. Their staff is trained and professional to supervise them.
Afterschool Program
One of the club’s programs is the activities after school. According to the Afterschool section, they serve kids regardless of race, color, religion, or gender. The club stated that they are dedicated to giving the best possible experience to all students.
As further explained on the website, the club integrates high-quality learning. They targeted programs to lead its youth to success.
As for the security of all participants, the club posted that they would not accept kids with behavior that could hurt themselves or others. Besides, the club does not allow those who leave their facilities without asking for permission.
More importantly, the club mentioned that those with severe illnesses or disabilities are not allowed to join because they cannot participate in most club activities.
Life-Changing Club

The website emphasized that the club has been creating great futures for over 80 years. Besides, the club serves children aged five to eighteen with academic success, character growth, and healthy living programs.
