The church’s announcement posted that members could listen to testimonials and a short discussion by one of Alma’s family therapists. Participants and volunteers could learn more about Alma’s ministry to San Diego’s inner city community of Logan Heights.

The announcement further mentioned that those interested could register in three options: participate, volunteer, and attend the event.

Those who would be joining could also enjoy a complimentary brunch.

Harbor City Mom

The Habor City Mom is designed to create friendships as part of the parenting program at Harbor City Church. It is also intended to deepen mothers’ faith, and support each other, as revealed in its Mom’s group section.

Besides, they added that they are a group of mothers who want to center their lives on the Gospel to raise their children to know and love Jesus. This ministry meets weekly for play dates and holds social programs for moms and families.

This summer, they started having regular gatherings. They announced that times would vary to cater to various schedules.

Alma’s Ministry

According to the Alma Care website, the mission of Alma’s ministry is to give “healing, help, and hope” to the inner city of San Diego.

The website also said that the organization wants to fulfill its purpose by giving mental health awareness to the people. They are also working on providing education and resources to individuals in San Diego’s inner city.

Alma Ministry highlighted that they are hosting parenting seminars in local schools throughout their neighborhood. These workshops teach parents about childhood mental health.  Participants could learn good parenting from licensed experts.

Another program of the Alma organization is “Esperanza,” a Spanish term for “hope.” This ministry focuses on giving full scholarships to a person, as posted on their website. They said that they also provide group therapy to a chosen group of community mothers.

According to the same website,  they also created the Esperanza program. It is a ministry designed to provide each participant with personalized gospel-focused assistance. The Alma’s ministry desires mothers to care for themselves and their families.
