The Grove Church invites members to celebrate the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ on "The Aftermath; Easter at Grove Church" on April 17 at 8:15 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11:30 am.
The church’s Facebook post on March 29, announced that they would worship and enjoy activities for the whole family. They would have activities for children, a free Coffee bar, Acai Bowls, and photo booths.
Beliefs & Values
The church’s website stated that they are rooted in Scripture. Their statement of beliefs guides their decisions as a church, as mentioned on the website. According to them, they would not stand still and pursue to grow. The church also informed that they measure success based on personal spiritual transformation.
Moreover, the church identifies itself to be real, with its hallmarks of humility, transparency, and integrity. They also posted that their church is about worship, creating an environment for individuals to encounter God.
They highlighted that they equip, release, and reproduce people to their potential. The church also believes that it is about passion for fighting mediocrity, wherein they need to pursue excellence.
Grove Church’s Ministries
“Be fruitful in every season, as you get rooted and enrich organic relationships with each other.”, the Grove Church stated.
When individuals gather with a shared mission to pursue God, love, and serve others, they believe that God tends to be present and do amazing things. The church has four central ministries such as for children, young adults, students, and growth groups.
On the said website, they informed that Kids Ministry has designated groups for children of all ages. The children meet during their worship service and throughout the week. They added that kids always discover something new about God, such as their identity in Him and faith. The church crafted the worship and messages for children and geared at having enjoyment while learning about Jesus.
Meanwhile, the church also has a ministry for young adults aged 18-25 who want to meet for coffee, worship, and teaching. Their goal is to support families in any way to inspire and equip students. So students could know their identity in Christ, become rooted in Biblical truth, and encounter God.
There are three categories for the Young adult ministry: Jr High, High School, and Campus Clubs. The website announced that Jr High meets every Friday night from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Youth Room. High School students gather every Sunday night and have some special events like beach bonfires, sports, trips to Magic Mountain, and more. The church also has campus clubs where they meet weekly at local, nearby middle schools.
Growth Groups
The church also has various groups designed to make new friends and mature in their faith in Jesus. These groups consist of about 15-20 people who meet in homes and online throughout San Diego.
The said groups meet for nine weeks starting on Jan 31 to March 27, as stated on their website. They mentioned that the face-to-face meeting runs for 60-90 minutes and online groups last from 45-60 minutes. The website also added that these groups are short-term commitments that would create a long-term effect on their spiritual growth.
