Trinity Presbyterian Church invited its members to celebrate with them at their first annual team night on Saturday, Sept. 10.
The church’s Facebook page said that volunteers express their “love in action.” They added that the event is also for those interested in serving the church and their families.
The post said it would be an evening full of games and special surprises. Volunteers would also worship and have dinner, as mentioned in the announcement.
Love in Action
According to the church’s website, they offer a secure and cultivated place because their volunteers are putting their love into action. The Trinity Presbyterian Church explained that “serving is an opportunity.”
They noted that serving is a chance for their members to share their particular characteristics and gifts for the benefit of others. Besides, the website added that serving is a way to help the community and the church’s family.
Moreover, the website encouraged members to participate in helping with the needs of the church.
Serving Opportunities
The same website reveals that members can choose from five main categories. The church mentioned that some volunteers could help operate the church. Besides, they could help in welcoming attendees to every Sunday service.
The church offers opportunities for volunteers to join their Connect Center or ushering teams, as noted on the website.
Meanwhile, those passionate about music and technical skills could assist the church’s worship and media. The website posted that they could sing or play musical instruments. As Trinity added, volunteers could help with the church’s video production and photography.
In addition, members could take part in the church’s photography activities.
As for the children's and students' ministries, Trinity Presbyterian Church needs people who could assist in these programs. They need volunteers to handle kids from nursery to grade five, as posted on the website.
The church stated that those interested could lead music for children or junior and high school students.
Give, Receive Care
At First Presbyterian Church, they created the Care Team. According to the church’s website, this program is intended to deal with the needs of its members.
In the Care Team ministry, the church provides meals for the congregation. They said they also pray and assist with their financial needs.
The church encouraged its members to be involved in its Care Team Ministry. They could give and receive help at the same time.
The First Presbyterian Church quoted the scripture in 1 John 3:17-18, which says that God's love is not in him for those who could help and did not give to their brother in need.
The scripture instructed God’s children to show their love in their actions and truth, not in their words.
Trinity’s Lead Pastor
The church’s team section posted that Pastor Jonathan Kerhoulas led the Trinity Presbyterian Church. They said that Kerhoulas is passionate about making Jesus and his preaching a reality for individuals.
According to the website, he was born on the East Coast and grew up in North Carolina. They also mentioned that Kerhoulas spent 11 years residing in Boston after completing his college studies in Kentucky.
Moreover, the church revealed his wife, Dannielle, as his high school sweetheart. As added on the website, God blessed them with three kids, Mason, Penny, and Aaron.
