Women's Thrive Group studies begin at Legacy

Legacy Church welcomes the new year with a Women's Thrive Group in-person study – featuring Beth Moore's "Chasing Vines: Finding Your Way to an Immensely Fruitful Life." Meetings began last Jan. 5 at 10:00 a.m.

Legacy Church offers a six–week, video-driven series focusing on John 15. According to its website, Women Thrive ventures on a new study this winter. The study started last Wednesday, Jan. 5, at 10:30 a.m.

All participants met at Legacy La Mesa, upstairs in room CR2. This winter's study material is "Chasing Vines: Finding Your Way to an Immensely Fruitful Life" by Beth Moore.

The author explores the ways God is pleased in seeing things grow and how the vineyard carries the answer to how individuals can achieve a more abundant and meaningful life. According to Legacy Church, Moore identifies the metaphor through Scripture.

The author takes everyone on a spiritual journey and unravels how circumstances, including the most difficult or painful, are used by the Lord to make a difference for his kingdom.

Beth Moore, Bible Teacher, Author, Speaker

Beth Moore has spoken at various conferences around the globe. She is a renowned author with numerous bestselling books and Bible studies. A year before she founded the ministry, Moore published her first book - "Things Pondered."

Beth Moore is also the founder of Living Proof Ministries.

According to an article featuring Moore, she began serving the Lord by speaking at various events such as retreats and luncheons. In 1994 she established Living Proof Ministries.

Moore worked on helping women discover more about Jesus by studying the Bible. In 2020, Moore called out unvaccinated and unmasked Christians. Her tweet has gone viral and drew reactions from many, including Pastor Greg Locke.

Legacy Church

Legacy has two locations. Tierrasanta Campus address is 10881 Tierrasanta Blvd. San Diego, CA 92124. Another campus is at 8076 La Mesa Blvd. La Mesa, CA 91942.

Service time at La Mesa is every Sunday, 9:00 a.m. While for Tierrasanta Campus, worship happens at 10:30 a.m. This campus holds indoor and outdoor services.

Online service is on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. According to its website, the church began in Aug. 2007; the meeting started in a community center at a mobile home park in Lakeside, CA.

From here, the church grew to what it is today, one church in two locations – La Mesa and Tierrasanta Campuses. Its leadership is composed of Curt Gruber as Lead Pastor, Todd Molter – Teaching Pastor, Troy Norling – Site Pastor, and Chris Ward – Associate Pastor.

Legacy is actively engaged in the community. The church provides assistance, encouragement, and compassion to local schools, the homeless, the needy, and chemically dependent.
