Brunswick City in Ohio has several events this August, and local churches offered their campus for two of these proceedings. Holy Trinity Lutheran Church recently hosted an event for local students and adjacent areas, while another church, Chippewa Church, planned to host an event this week on Aug. 13, Cleveland reported.
Recent Event at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church
According to the news, students gathered at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on Aug. 11. The parish held its program for the upcoming new school year.
The back-to-school program has been offering free school supplies for students annually for 20 years. These learners, who received materials, were from Brunswick and other areas nearby the city.
The report credited the church for facilitating the drive-thru program. Also, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church members gave effort in the successful event. These worshippers worked with other organizations in the community.
These local organizations were the Salvation Army, Brunswick Optimists, Szarka Financial, Brunswick Kiwanis, and Brunswick Education Foundation. The theme of this year’s program was The Back to School Rally. Organizers launched the event with a similar process to their previous proceedings.
Car Show at Chippewa Church at the Lake
Aug. 13 is the schedule for car owners to display their vehicles at Chippewa Church at the Lake. The church offered its campus for the annual Chippewa Lake Historical Society Car Show.
Chippewa Church at the Lake invites the public for other activities on that day. The church also planned to provide lunch for the event-goers during the car show.
Event-goers have a chance to win a raffle for an exciting tour at Chippewa Lake using a wooden torpedo-back speedboat. The ticket for the raffle is available on the day of the celebration. Event planners priced the voucher at $10.
Another ongoing event in Brunswick City is the blood donation drive by the American Record Cross. The proceedings started earlier this month. The American Red Cross faced minimal blood donations in previous months.
After the blood donation, a blood donor who registered until the end of the month could win a one-year gas supply from the American Red Cross.
