Launching New Campus in McKinney

Anchor Church started its new project to build a campus in Mckinney, Texas.

According to Community Impact, the initial phase of the $11.5 million project, spanning over 11 acres, began construction in March 2022.

The facility's over 26,000 square feet feature a church with seating for 600 adults and 150 children.

In addition to the media production studio, other small groups and event spaces are available. BGW Architects was responsible for designing the church, and Crossland was the general contractor.

Senior Pastor Jeff Jenkins said that the congregation hopes to expand the building in the future.

Per the report, the church has plans to buy 10 acres of property to increase the size of the building from its current size to 55,000 square feet, which would more than double its current capacity. They also revealed the projected expansion also includes a daycare, a community center, a university dedicated to missionary education, and more.

About Anchor Church

Anchor Church is a Foursquare denomination church. It is a spirit-led congregation committed to welcoming all and empowering its members to alter society.

To become a light of hope that transforms the world, members of the Anchor Church are imaginative hosts, connections, guides, and pastors who do everything it takes to explore the possibilities.

The church hopes to identify and develop potential leaders by encouraging Connect Groups and Dream Teams participation. They provide settings and contexts for God to use in establishing a congregation.

According to the website, they shape and motivate individuals to live in a way that forces them to climb out of the valley by learning to love, listen to, and risk for the "One."

Prayer Class at Anchor Church

Anchor Church believes that having open lines of communication with God is important for any relationship, and it is crucial to 'understand His voice' while communicating with Him.

Participants in this prayer class will discover the skills necessary to spend time with God in prayer and to fight spiritual forces on behalf of themselves and others.

All Christians can learn from these two Sunday morning sessions at 9:15 a.m. on the third and fourth Sundays of each month.

Dream Team

The Dream Team is made up of extraordinary people who are serving the world by using the talents and interests they've developed.

According to the website, Anchor Church is successful not just because of the pastors and staff but also because of the Dream Team of people who have adopted the church as their own and are using their talents to help others achieve their full potential.

Dream Team offers to connect groups, Anchor Kids or Anchor Youth teams, and partner with their Outreach Dream Team. They also create a comfortable and friendly environment by serving on one of their weekend teams.
