The Park Cities Presbyterian Church Foundation is investigating the misused donations of the previous leader.

According to an article, David Margulies spoke on behalf of the Park Cities Presbyterian Church Foundation. He said the church had already sent messages to the church’s congregants regarding the investigation. Margulies works as the church’s communication professional.

The investigation started after the church found that a previous leader of the foundation had done wrongdoings with the donations for the church. Margulies stated that the Park Cities Presbyterian Church is not engaged in managing the foundation’s finances and operations.

In 2020, a report was filed regarding the church’s foundation revenue amounting to $1.2 million. However, the foundation had more than $2 million in expenses that year.

On May 26, 1991, the Park Cities Presbyterian Church began its first worship service. The service was held at Highland Park High School, with more than a thousand in attendance.

The first senior pastor of the church was Skip Ryan. He earned unanimous votes from the congregation to become the church’s first senior pastor.

Pastor Ryan’s tenure was until 2006. After his service, Mark Alan Davis replaced him. Pastor Davis earned the church’s senior pastor role on May 11, 2008. The Park Cities Presbyterian Church had its property in early 1994.

This month, the Park Cities Presbyterian Church is having an event from June 5 to 26. The event is the submission of members’ recommendations. The recommendations are for the offices of deacon and elder, Class of 2027. 

All of the men that will be selected will be trained through Bibles. These Bibles are the Book of Church Order and the Westminster Confession of Faith. The church is affiliated with Presbyterian Church in America.
