Mediation and Restorative Services (MARS) will organize the Bridge to Peace Breakfast Fundraiser on Tuesday, May 16, at Christ Lutheran Church in Blaine, Minnesota.

With this event, the organization will be able to expand its efforts to the youth through restoration.

MARS encourages the community to attend the Bridge to Peace Fundraiser and have breakfast with the organization.

According to Eventbrite, all the money raised at the event will go toward supporting the organization's efforts to extend their work with young people through restorative methods.

The purchase of a ticket grants access to a selection of breakfast options, such as a yogurt parfait bar, pancakes and sausage, as well as fruit.

Since 1987, the charitable 501(c)(3) organization has assisted parties in disagreement by providing valuable conflict resolution.

The guest speakers for the event are Tamara D. Mattison, Ph.D., and Carol Markham-Cousins.

Mattison performs as a community organizer and non-profit leader. She speaks up for oppressed people, mistreated or otherwise unable to do it herself.

Per the post, Mattison works with the Minnesota Department of Education as a trainer and facilitator for the department's Restorative Practices program, which serves several school districts in the state.

On the other hand, Markham-Cousins reportedly spent her whole career in education and leadership promoting diversity, inclusion, and high standards. As principal, she has been able to turn around failing schools by assembling teams that have effectively implemented good culture change.

Mediation and Restorative Services aims to help marginalized communities settle their conflicts, repair harm, and foster safe, healing environments by making mediation and restorative practices available and affordable to all.

Volunteer mediators who undergo formal training and supervision are helping people worldwide find peaceful solutions to their differences.
