The Archdiocese of New York has recently encouraged everyone to bless their gadgets for safety and blessing purposes as a response to return to schools and parishes.

Giving Blessing of Gadgets

In a letter posted on the Archdiocese of New York website, the church reminded everyone to make their gadgets to be blessed as they organize the activities for the upcoming year.

Jim Connell, Digital Learning and Technology Specialist of the Youth Faith Formation, reportedly said that people need God's blessings following the return of face-to-face classes. Youth group activities in schools and parishes are essential as well.

The ministry aims to remind everyone to ask God to guide them in the use of the gadgets that people use. These include cell phones, desktops, and laptops.

They are also expected to bless those who are interacting with the church's members. These include colleagues, youth ministers, youth team members, catechists, and directors.

About the Youth Faith Formation

As per its website, the Department of Youth Faith Formation is one of the ministries of the Archdiocese of New York that covers children's and adolescent faith formation and youth ministry.

The department is dedicated to supporting the children and their families through the joint effort of the department, parishes, and its leaders. With this, they can have a good connection and nurture their faith with Jesus Christ, as reported.

Also, the Youth Faith Formation provides activities, events, resources, and training for young people to continue its mission throughout the archdiocese.

Moreover, the ministry supports the youth in structuring a leader through the Catholic Youth Leaders of the Archdiocese (CYLA) to be equipped in future endeavors as faith leaders in the community.

It also helps the Youth Faith Formation to assess the needs of the youth further and hear the voices of the Catholic youth community in planning for the betterment of the programs dedicated to the children.

The organization helps high school students from junior high school to senior grade who are actively serving the church youth ministry. Through the programs organized by the ministry, students can gain knowledge and skills.

They can also rely on these programs to nurture their connection with God.

The youth will reportedly be responsible for the planning and conducting youth activities and programs of the archdiocese.
