The Catholic Charities of New York (CCNY) has recently been awarded a grant to further its cause for the elderly. The organization is the Catholic charity agency of the Archdiocese of New York.
The Field Hall Foundation granted the cash aid to the Archdiocesan Catholic Charities. It is a private foundation that assists older adults and their caregivers.
Financial Aid For Elderly Care
On its Facebook page, the Catholic charity agency announced the grant. The elderly people in Westchester and Putnam counties are the beneficiaries of the assistance.
CCNY reiterated that senior citizens continue to struggle to provide food for themselves. It further stated that they are having difficulty purchasing their necessities.
"Some of the most vulnerable and forgotten New Yorkers are at-risk seniors," the Facebook post read.
The Catholic Charities underscored that the grant would help in supporting at-risk seniors. Aside from that, the agency also reportedly acquired a special holiday grant from the foundation.
The special holiday grant allows CCNY to buy grocery store gift certificates. It would reportedly help those struggling older adults during the holiday season.
Catholic Charities of New York Reaches More People
As per the Facebook page, CCNY expressed its gratitude to the Field Hall Foundation. The agency emphasized that its partner organizations assist it in helping those in need.
Furthermore, the Catholic agency stressed that it could reach more individuals through their help. The support from their partners also helps the agency in offering the "needed" elderly care.
CCNY also praised its partner organizations, describing them as "amazing."
Field Hall Foundation And Its Grantees
The Field Hall Foundation is an institution based in Cortlandt Manor, New York, its Facebook page noted. It reportedly seeks to aid non-profit organizations and local governments to help the elderly.
The private foundation strives to support programs that make the lives of older adults better.
The Field Hall Foundation helps initiatives and projects in Putnam, Westchester, and Dutchess counties.
Additionally, the private foundation also named and congratulated its Fall 2021 grantees. It also awarded a $310,000 grant to the following beneficiaries:

- Meals on Wheels of Greater Hyde Park
- United Hebrew of New Rochelle
- Catholic Charities Dutchess County

- Community Center of Northern Westchester
- Gilda's Club Westchester
- Habitat for Humanity of Dutchess County
- Hillside Food Outreach
- Maryknoll Sisters of St. Dominic, Inc.
- North East Community Center
