Episcopal Church Foundation’s Board of Directors elects NY parishioner

A New York parishioner was recently elected as one of the three members serving the Episcopal Church Foundation’s Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors of ECF will meet in person from November 10 to 12 in NYC to talk about ECF's mission and long-term strategic direction.

In an article from the Episcopal News Service, the Episcopal Church Foundation has recently elected three new members, including the following:

Charles H. Schilling, a NY parishioner that worships at St. James’ Church, NYC, and Church of the Atonement in Quogue, NY.

He graduated with a BA degree from Georgetown University and received his MBA at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

He reportedly has a business background and a strong track record of developing winning teams in the fields of education, information systems, and B2B (business-to-business) services and software.

As mentioned, he currently holds the position of President of Enterprise Business in Canada, Europe, and the United States for Emeritus.

Emeritus is reportedly a company that offers online education to equip people, organizations, and governments worldwide with the skills of the future.

Jo Ann Roberts serves as a Bishop's Associate, a member of the Diocesan Council, and a former Bishop's Search Committee member in the Diocese of Chicago.

She graduated from Northwestern University with a BS, MS, and a Ph.D. degree in Education Administration with honors.

As reported, she also received honors in her Speech and Language Pathology degree from Wayne State University.

She has held positions as a senior warden and a vestry member at St. Paul and the Redeemer, her native church in Chicago.

As mentioned, Roberts is a well-known teacher, trustee, and skilled manager of intricate organizations with expertise in curriculum development, operations, school finance, and strategic planning.

She has provided educational leadership for school districts, boards, and government agencies in North America for over 30 years.

The new member of the Board of Directors also served as chief deputy superintendent of schools, director of special services, superintendent of schools, and principal to speech and language pathologist.

Mason Lecky is reportedly a new member of the Grace and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Richmond, along with his family.

Mason, a 2014 Columbia University Klingenstein Fellow, graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor's in history, earned a master's in education from Harvard University, and speaks Spanish well.

Accordingly, he has served as the headteacher of St. Christopher's School in Richmond, Virginia, since 2016.

He worked as an administrator, coach, and teacher at St. Albans School in Washington, DC, before moving back to his hometown of Richmond. 

Mason served as the head of the school of St. Andrew's Episcopal School in New Orleans from 2009 until 2016, as reported.

Also, he has held positions as a chair of the Elementary Accreditation Committee for the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest. He is also the vice president of the Louisiana Association of Independent Schools, and a member of the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools Board of Directors.

In addition, he currently holds various trustee positions with the International Boys' Schools Coalition, Richmond Board of the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities, and Virginia Association of Independent Schools, the Collegiate School in NYC.
