Princeton Theological Seminary issues applicant call for business manager position

The Princeton Theological Seminary in New Jersey has recently issued an applicant call for the business manager position for the Office of Continuing Education.

Interested applicants may submit their application requirements in one PDF document and must submit Human Resources at apply@ptsem.edu.

Such materials include a cover letter that states their interest in the business manager position, and the mission and vision of the Princeton Theological Seminary, a resume, and three personal references that can recommend their ability for the position.

Business Manager Position

As per the press release from the Episcopal News Service, the Princeton Theological Seminary is looking for a full-time business manager for a team in the Office of Continuing Education.

The qualified business manager will reportedly supervise all the budgetary and financial matters of the office’s operations to be aligned with the resources.

Such operations include budgets for grants, maintaining programs, and new projects.

The business manager will prepare the financial and narrative reports for the various offices of the seminary and will be working with the PTS business office to submit all the necessary reports.

Aside from the financial reports, the qualified candidate for the job will be preparing and editing the grant budget proposals, be part of writing a grant for the ongoing funding, and work with the Office of Advancement to raise donors.

Also, the business manager will supervise to see the development of the operation plan and strategic goals for maintaining resources.

They will be working with the staff and student workers to attain the strategic goals in the network building for potential donors, reporting on donations and grants, and foundation relations.

Moreover, the qualified candidate will oversee the newly developed plan, and work with other staff to edit, and revise the plan.

Furthermore, other responsibilities of the business manager will reportedly be assigned if needed by the office.

As mentioned, the qualified applicant for the position shall meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business/Finance.
  • Three years minimum of working experience related to financial or grants management.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite, having a moderate to advanced knowledge of Raisers’ Edge would be a plus.
  • Has excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Has excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Shows enthusiasm in committing to the seminary’s goals and mission.
  • Show analytic ability and ability to solve problems.
  • Willing to learn and apply the best practices.
  • Has integrity and ethics.
  • Attention to detail.
