St. Peter’s Episcopal Church opens application for Director of Success for All Families position

The St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Morristown, New Jersey, has recently announced the opening of the application for the Episcopal Director of Success for All Families.

Interested applicants may send their applications by completing several requirements for the post. 

Such requirements include a resume, letter of interest, and three personal references addressed to Rev. Anne C. Thatcher at revthatcher@stpetersmorristown.net, as reported.

The deadline for submission will be on Monday, Sept. 22.

Director of Success for All Families Position

As per the press release from the Episcopal News Service, the St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Morristown is looking for a full-time Episcopal director of success for all families.

According to the report, the qualified applicant for the position will supervise the staff's hiring process. 

The new official will also lead the church's programs, such as Vacation Bible School (VBS) and Afterschool on South, to provide a safe environment for the children and staff.

Also, the director and teachers will lead the working and planning of activities suitable for all ages in the program. They will also provide supplies and materials for the programs. 

The director will be reportedly responsible for financial matters. This includes preparing and monitoring the budget for programs, staff, and grant applications awarded to other church programs. 

Also, the candidate must connect with the parish's financial manager.

To be fully equipped with the position, the chosen director will be required to attend training programs to develop their skills, as well as their staff, as reported.

Meanwhile, the qualified applicant will also be responsible for communicating and maintaining relationships with parents and families. They must assist them in the Child Care Subsidy Program of the church, as well.

Moreover, the director shall reportedly meet all the needed requirements of the child care centers in line with New Jersey's manual requirement and provide a report to the rector of the church.

As further discussed, the director will be working with the Morristown School District Transportation department for the bus stop transportation needs of the students.

As mentioned, the qualified applicant for applicant shall meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in education or an education-related field.
  • Three to five years of working experience in elementary and/or middle school children.
  • At least one year of experience in managing and supervising personnel.
  • Must pass a CHRI (Criminal History Background Check), fingerprinting, and a CARI check (Child Abuse Record Information).
  • Strong leadership and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Must obtain current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification before hiring.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and personal auto insurance.
  • Spanish speaking is a plus.

The salary for the said position will reportedly be $47,000, plus other benefits, including:
