Trinity Church's retreat center to hold Easter retreat highlighting 'circle of life, Christian faith'

The Trinity Retreat Center has recently invited the faithful to join its multi-day Easter retreat. The center is the mission property of the Trinity Church Wall Street.

As reported, the event will kick off on Maundy Thursday, April 14. It will then conclude on Easter Sunday, April 17.

Participants will reportedly gather at the retreat center located at 79 Lower River Road in West Cornwall, Connecticut.

2022 Easter Retreat

According to a press release, the church's retreat center is open for adults. Young people may also attend the Easter retreat should they want to engage in adult discussions.

The report said that the event aims to celebrate how the circle of life works. It also strives to emphasize the Christian faith.

Through the retreat, the faith community will reportedly discuss life, death, and resurrection. It will also highlight what it means to have a "larger life."

Moreover, the Easter retreat will feature the Rev. Dr. Mark Francisco Bozzuti-Jones. He is the director of spiritual formation at Trinity Retreat Center.

The spiritual formation director will reportedly lead the retreatants throughout the multi-day event.

During the retreat, the institution will follow the rhythm of the Easter season, the press release noted. The Church reportedly considers this time the holiest season in the Christian calendar.

Retreat Center Bares Easter Weekend Activities

As per the press release, the event will engage the participants in a reflection activity. This will reportedly mark the start of the Easter retreat.

The retreatants will ponder about the lessons and realizations on Holy Week, the report stressed.

Aside from that, the Trinity Retreat Center will also conduct a liturgical service after the reflection. It will also spearhead a community prayer with the faithful.

The faith-based institution will also hold an Agape Meal on Maundy Thursday. It will be followed by the traditional washing of the feet until Good Friday.

"Then we'll prepare the house for the feast on Holy Saturday when the Great Vigil is celebrated," the center stated.

Additionally, the retreatants may also partake in a "festive brunch" to celebrate Easter Day.

The Trinity Retreat Center claimed that the event would be interactive and immersive. Thus, the institution has urged them to complete the registration to join the Easter retreat experience.

Health, Safety Measures

Based on its website, the church implements health policies for in-person retreats. Participants must reportedly adhere to the safety measures amid the ongoing pandemic.

Accordingly, retreatants must provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19. They must also reportedly present proof of negative test results taken within 24 hours.

"All guests must be symptom-free from any illness for at least 14 days prior to arrival," the church added.

Apart from that, the Trinity Church also reiterated that it only accepts a limited number of retreatants.

The faith community reportedly strives to ensure the safety of the Trinity Retreat Center's guests. The church stressed that the health of the faithful remains to be its top concern.

Additionally, the congregation asserted that retreatants must also wear face coverings at all times. The church explained that they must wear their masks despite getting vaccinated.
