Desert City Church invites neighbors, members to Holy Week activities

Desert City Church will host activities and services throughout the Holy Week from Saturday, April 2, to Sunday, April 9.

The church’s Facebook page encouraged its neighbors to join them starting on April 3, Palm Sunday. They informed their community that there would be two services at 9:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.

Besides, Desert City Church offers a petting zoo for both services, and they would hold an Easter Egg Hunt during their 30-minute program, as explained on the page.

Holy Week Activities

Desert City Church noted that they will open its campus on Maundy Thursday, April 6, for those who would like to spend some time in prayer. Then, they would host a prayer service the next day at 7 p.m. 

Moreover, the church said they would have three services on Easter Sunday, April 9. There would be one service at 8 a.m., 9 a.m., and 11 a.m.

They stressed that this would be an incredible Sunday for gathering with friends and family to worship God.

Easter Sunday

The church’s website explains that Easter is a moment of hope and commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus. They said that they welcome everyone to celebrate with them. 

Aside from the three services, Desert City Church mentioned that they would be offering food and coffee in between services. They prepared a photo wall for family photos. 

The church highlighted that they would have amazing songs and Christ-focused preaching during their Easter Service. They added that people would feel a sense of joyfulness through their fellowship. 

It invites members and visitors to join and experience this unique celebration of Easter with them.

About Desert City Church

In another section, the church revealed they began their public meeting in October 2014. They met at Desert Trails Elementary School in the Desert Ridge area of North Phoenix. 

They stated that they relocated to Explorer Middle School in the summer of 2018 and gathered there for several years.

According to them, they started discussing combining the two church communities with Paradise Church in the middle of the pandemic in 2020. They said they now meet at their new church campus in North Phoenix. 

In addition, the website said that the merger was completed on Easter 2021. They noted that the church is dedicated to working toward the common benefit of their city and the world. The website said they have genuine connections and simple and holy gatherings.

Community of Believers

Moreover, the website highlighted that Desert City Church is a community of Believers of Jesus Christ and are loving individuals. They added that their hope is for the world's salvation through Jesus’ way, in Phoenix as in heaven.

More importantly, the church explained that they are now an Evangelical Covenant Church since its merging with Paradise Church at the beginning of 2021.

As further mentioned, the church’s pastors and ministry team leaders had set visions and ministry instructions. They explained that they oversee the church’s daily activities and programs. 

They said they are in charge of equipping the people of Desert City Church to achieve their goals.
