Wesley United Methodist Church in Phoenix, Arizona announced that it is set to host a free health fair.

In a Facebook post, the church announced that the free health fair will be held on Friday, Sept. 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 750 E Southern Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85040-3143, United States.

According to the church’s post, the event will be held outdoors for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) health and safety requirements. The duration of the event will possibly be at least five hours.

Church’s Mission

Making disciples of Jesus Christ for the purpose of transforming the world is the church's mission, according to the church's website.

The church said the most important venues for making disciples are local churches and extension ministries of the Church.

It added that it is reflected in God's covenant with Abraham and Sarah, Israel's exodus from Egypt, and the prophetic ministry.

Jesus Christ's life, death, and resurrection serve as its complete embodiment. It is seen in the continual work of the Holy Spirit in forming new people, according to the church.

It is how this mission was perceived by John Wesley, Phillip Otterbein, Jacob Albright, and other members of the spiritual ancestry, according to the church.

The church said God has used United Methodism to save people, mend relationships, change societal systems, and spread scriptural holiness whenever the Church has had a strong sense of mission.

As a result, the Church has changed the world. The church said it accepts Jesus' command to love God, love its neighbor, and make disciples of all peoples if they want to fully live.

Through the Spirit-given servant ministries of all Christians, both lay and clergy, the Church aims to accomplish its global mission. All church ministries must be oriented by the goal of producing disciples of Jesus Christ in order to be faithful and effective.

Church Worship Service

Every Sunday at 10 a.m., the church invites everyone to worship with the members in person or via Facebook Live. On Sundays at 6 p.m., the worship services are posted online and made accessible to viewers.
