Aloha Church announced to its members to mark their calendars as they celebrate its fourth anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 18, at Mission Bay High School.
The church’s Facebook page noted that it anticipates commemorating God’s work in them. It desires to acknowledge God’s deed now and in the future, as posted on the website.
As further announced, the church would provide food, drinks, and more.
Living Life to Fullest
According to the church’s values section, the Aloha Church seeks a joy-filled life. They said they desired to live their “life to the fullest.” As further explained, the church thinks having a healthy relationship with others could help them grow.
Besides, they noted that they hold in-person discipleship at home while having food fellowship or in their neighborhood. The church members listen to God’s word and walk together in their spiritual journey, as stated on the website.
More importantly, Aloha Church stressed that its congregation serves together.
Love is Greater than Legalism
As part of the church’s values, they explained that at Aloha Church, they give importance to love over legalism. They said that what Jesus did for them was rooted in love, but what they are doing is legalism.
The church’s website stated that they try to love individuals through grace and truth. They added that love is the reason for everything they do at Aloha Church. Yet, they stressed that legality is being addicted to religious systems.
More importantly, the church believes that legality leads to self-righteousness and exhaustion for people. At Aloha Church, they think that forgiveness is what the world needs and not more perfection, as revealed on the website.
Leading People to Abundance
The same website said that the primary mission of Aloha Church is to demonstrate God’s love and guide individuals into abundant life. The church believes that their activities are not the way of having a prosperous life but through Jesus.
As further mentioned, having a bountiful life is being satisfied and secure in Jesus. They added that it is about having faith in and trusting Jesus. The website explains that people are free from worries when their mindset is focused on Jesus.
According to the church’s values, members do not put their needs before others. The website added that people learn to care for those in need before themselves at Aloha Church. They explained that they become less selfish when they care more for other people.
Being Hospitable
Aloha Church highlights that the primary approach of Jesus in sharing the gospel was having a meal with sinners. They emphasized that Jesus welcomes sinners and even serves them. They added that Jesus came here to give His life to sinners.
The church said Jesus ate and drank with sinners.
As a church, they believe that being hospitable is a crucial part of their fellowship and ministry. They noted that it is a helpful way to destroy social and cultural differences. At Aloha Church, members said they practice being friendly to welcome everyone who enters their doors.
