Bonita Valley Community Church’s Dad Fest

Bonita Valley Community Church’s Dad Fest will feature the Coolest Cars from the favorite movies and TV shows on June 19, Sunday.

On the church’s website, they posted that Remi Adeleke, former Navy Seal, author, actor, and dad, would be their special guest. The church also announced that there would be gifts for all fathers.

Besides, in the registration section for the said event, they noted that they look forward to hosting Dad Fest on Father’s Day at BVCC. They added that they would change their courtyard into a car show. They would highlight classic cars, a monster truck, and unique motorcycles. They will feature vehicles from members' favorite movies and TV shows. Also, they will showcase unique cars from their community.

Ministry to Men

The BVCC Men’s Ministry strengthens male members to become the loving leaders God designed them to be, as mentioned on the men’s page. The page also revealed that the said ministry would allow participants to gather with a group of brothers as they develop a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ.

Meanwhile, the page also stated that they had finished the five-week Bible Study series based on the book The Last Arrow by Erwin McManus. They started on April 21 and ended the last session on May 19.

Remi Adeleke

Born in West Africa, Remi Adeleke and his mother and brother moved to the Bronx in New York City, the Thomas Nelson website revealed. They added that after Adeleki made some regrettable choices, he joined the Navy in 2002 and became the Nave SEAL. After he successfully ended his naval career in 2016, he decided to follow a career in speaking and acting. They noted that Adeleke completed his BS in Organizational Leadership and MS in Strategic Leadership at the University of Charleston, West Virginia.

The website revealed that he lives in Southern California with his wife, Jessica, with their two children, Cayden and Caleb.

Adeleke’s Transformed

As mentioned, Adeleke is also an author, and one of his best-selling masterpieces is the book entitled “Transformed”. It is about his life as a navy seal who unusually journeyed from the throne of Africa to the streets of Bronx. Also, the book covers how he edifies all odds.

The same website noted that surveys say African American men raised by a single-parent household are nine times more likely to drop out of high school. Besides, they stated that they are twenty times more likely to end up in jail than any other demographic. But Adeleke not only rises above those numbers but also becomes a Navy SEAL, actor, and entrepreneur. Besides, he becomes a writer and a successful husband and father.

In this book, Adeleke takes his readers back to his experiences, from his childhood as Nigerian royalty to losing his father very young and being financially stripped of everything by the government.

Moreover, because of his experiences, Adeleke responded to questions about how he could step further in his inspiring story of overcoming obstacles even when it did not make sense.
