Canyon Ridge Baptist Church (CRBC) invites the congregation to welcome two guest speakers, Pastor Kacey Trudelle and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) expert Jeremy, Stalnecker, on May 22 and May 29 to celebrate Mental Health Month.
The church said in its announcement that people first need to face the pandemic. There is a mental health crisis that the world has not witnessed in generations. They added that none had been unaffected by worries, trauma, or PTSD stories.
However, the church emphasized that hope is given to those suffering. As they participate in Mental Health Month, they encourage everyone to join them on two Sundays as they invite guest speakers.
The First Speaker: Pastor Kacey Trudelle
Besides, the church informed that Pastor Kacey Trudelle is the lead pastor of Faith Baptist Church. He would share his extraordinary anxiety story. He would also tackle the deep hope and success he found through Jesus Christ. They noted that this would be a perfect time for anyone facing worries, fears, or crippling panic attacks.
Moreover, Faith Baptist Church’s website stated that Trudelle loves to have fellowship with people. They added that it is his heart and the church’s heartbeat to love individuals as Jesus would. In 2015, God called Trudelle and his wife to serve in the said church.
Second Speaker: Jeremy Stalnecker
On the last Sunday of May, the author, speaker, podcaster, and PTSD expert, Jeremy Stalnecker, would be the church’s guest speaker. The church’s announcement mentioned that he would help those members asking how to move forward when things are falling into pieces.
Furthermore, Stalnecked is also the CEO of the Mighty Oaks Foundation. They revealed that he helps America’s military soldiers and their families struggle from combat's unseen wounds. One of these pains is PTSD.
Canyon Ridge Baptist Church’s Story
The church's website stated that it was September 2002 when Pastor Chris Chadwick and his wife landed in San Diego after more than five years of prayer and preparation. They built a Bible-believing church. Today, its website emphasizes that Canyon Ridge remains a loving and active church. They serve the Linda Vista neighborhood of San Diego.
They focused on meeting individuals in the community by knocking on doors and preaching the Gospel, as posted on the website. By 2004, not only did the CRBC increase its numbers, but also its finances, making them support its ministries.
Throughout 2004 and 2005, the church stated that Chadwick and different realtors looked for a permanent place for CRBC. They needed a larger space for their growing congregations in the next three years, so they moved their service to Chesterton Elementary School.
Finally, the church mentioned that in God’s perfect time, CRBC owned 6866 Linda Vista Road on December 31, 2009. The church family had a permanent area, and the members and friends of CRBC immediately began working to clean and decorate the dilapidated structures. Now they can finally call it their “church home.”
