Canyon Springs’ members had a great time in a Backyard Concert with Ryan Stevenson, the singer, songwriter, and the grammy-nominated recording artist hit on May 7 at the Home of the Skiles Family.

The church’s website announcement said that the event aims to raise funds for Haiti to assist with school, food supply, and health care needs. They added that Stevenson would be there early to have a fellowship and hang out with the participants.

The church also noted that they had set up an intimate setting so the singer could talk about the creation and writing behind his songs. They assured members of having a fantastic night for all those who joined the concert.

The registration costs $100, including the concert, dinner, and a meet and greets with Stevenson. Most significantly, some of the registration fees would proceed to Haiti.

Meet Ryan Stevenson

According to the said announcement, Stevenson was raised in southern Oregon. Before starting his career in music, he worked as a paramedic for nine years, the website added. As of now, the singer lives in Nashville with his wife and children.

Besides, they highlighted that Stevenson is behind the famous Christian music such as “Eye of the Storm” and “Speak Life.”

On Accessmore’s website, they highlighted Stevenson had five top one singles and a Grammy nomination.  They also stated that he had Billboard Music Award nomination and Dove Award in 2017. He had significant tours with TobyMac, MercyMe, and the Newboys.

With this, Stevenson had already identified himself as a rare talent guided by his one-of-a-kind perspective reflected in his honest lyrics and sonic sensibilities, as noted on the website.

Helping Haiti from Home

One of the ministries of Canyon Springs is to help people in Haiti. However, the church website mentioned that they have not gone to Hait for two years due to the pandemic, civil unrest, and earthquake. The church stated that their friends in Haiti still need prayer, food, education, and health care.

With this, they created some fundraising activities this Spring, as posted on their website. These programs would allow them to join in prayer and worship. Also, members could enjoy physical activities while collecting funds and raising awareness to help their neighbors in Haiti.

The website features three methods to “Help Haiti From Home.” They said that these methods are an excellent way for members to Served and Be Served. Aside from holding a backyard Worship Concert, the conjugation could also join a Stay-cation Weekend Mission Trip.

They could also give directly to the Children’s Heritage Foundation (CHF). The said donations would sponsor team members to travel to Haiti. The church encouraged each member to pray and visit their website to give a gift or support an area of their program.

Local Mission Trip

The church also invites members to participate in their local mission trip that helps Haiti from June 3 to June 5. Participants would spend their weekends serving San Diego and Haiti through hands-on programs. They would also hold a prayer and worship. They announced that they would be connecting with friends and family in Haiti online.
