Christ Ministry Center provides free health care services for the community every week.

The church’s free clinic section posted that the UC San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine Student-Run Free Clinic offers medical services on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On the other hand, the California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) Student healthcare project helps the community every Thursday.

Offered Services

According to the church’s post, during their free community clinic, they provide disease management for acute and chronic illnesses. As added on the website, they also teach some diseases prevention and education.

UC San Deigo and the Student Health Care project also give prescriptions and vaccines to the people in their community, as noted on the website. They said that the church’s neighbors also receive services for mental health. 

Moreover, they highlighted that people could avail free laboratory services. These initiatives also include free service for radiological and ultrasound. The free community clinic also gives case management and social services, as further mentioned on the website.

Besides, the church emphasized giving out hygiene kits to their participants.

Church’s Purpose

Church Ministry Center’s about section mentioned that Christ Ministry Center is a shelter for various kinds of congregations. They share the same worship and learning space. They stressed that they exist to give a “nurturing” venue for people to worship and learn about religion freely.

UCSD’s website revealed that the Student-Run Free Clinic Project aims to provide high-quality care for vulnerable people. They also desire to motivate the next batch of health professionals, as posted on the website. 

More importantly, they explained that their focus is to care for patients not qualified for healthcare benefits or resources. They added that they give medical and mental health services. They are also assisting others with their pharmacy needs and dental services. 

In addition, the website emphasized that the nation acknowledged their clinic as an example and a training place for health professional learners, faculty, and leaders in the community. They said that these people desire to deal with the needs of the underserved members of society. 

School of Nursing Healthcare Project

Meanwhile, CSUSM’s website mentioned that the School of Nursing students' project is intended to give the primary community and basic healthcare to vulnerable people in the neighborhoods of San Diego County. 

They highlighted that their professionals have the licensed to operate healthcare services. They added that their supervisors are also certified. So they could lead and guide the graduating students participating in the free clinic missions.

More importantly, the project was designed for those underinsured and uninsured individuals in their community, as posted on the website. They added that they respect them and give them intensive care.
