College Avenue Baptist Church to host 'Light Up the Night' with carnival ride

College Avenue Baptist Church will hold “Light Up the Night” to celebrate Christmas with a round-up carnival ride from Friday to Saturday, Dec. 23 to 24.

The church’s Facebook page noted that it would be a two-night program with many festivities and a service. 

Light Up the Night

The church’s website highlighted that the program is for family, friends, and the entire community. They encouraged its members to celebrate Christmas with them. 

As further mentioned, there would be a real snow sled run and round-up carnival ride from 4 to 6 p.m. in the courtyard. They added that the children could enjoy the inflatable slide and rustic photo op. 

Besides, they noted that there would be a polar express train ride while they enjoy eating kettle corn and more. They said that hot cocoa would also be available during the event.

Moreover, the church announced that the service would start at 6 p.m. so people could enjoy an interactive experience. They explained that there would be music and stories to help them understand the true essence of the season. 

Advent Sundays, Christmas Sunday

The same website posted that College Avenue Baptist Church celebrated Advent every Sunday throughout December. They invite members to bring their friends and family members to celebrate the season. 

They stated that they would commemorate the birth of their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The website posted that the church has face-to-face and online services through its YouTube account. 

More importantly, on Sunday, Dec. 25, the church mentioned that they would have a morning service to worship together. They would sing songs and utter prayer during the program, as noted on the website. 

They emphasized that they would be reading the Scripture in a deeper and festive setting. The College Avenue Baptist Church stressed that Scripture from Luke 2:10-11 which says the angel told the people not to be terrified.

In the same Scripture, the angel brought the good news that could make people experience great joy. The angel said that the Savior had been born in the town of David. He emphasized that He is the Messiah, the God.

College Avenue Serves in Various Ways

According to the same website, the College Avenue Baptist Church provides opportunities to serve the people in the community. They noted that they offer resources to help individuals know God deeper. 

In addition, they noted that they could help those wondering about God’s identity and purpose in creating them. The church also mentioned that they could help those who wonder how they could have a relationship with God.

Moreover, the website posted that College Avenue Baptist Church provides a place for children from zero to grade five. They explained that CollegeAveKIDS is a venue where kids could have creative and interactive programs. 

As further explained, these activities could help them explore and respond to God. 

At College Avenue Presbyterian Church, they stated that they give value to young people. They said they spent a lot of time and effort creating an engaging and meaningful program for them. 

The church also said they invest a lot of time and energy in giving them tools to grow in their faith.
