Community Bible Church (CBC) will commemorate its 28th year as a club through AWANA, a program for children, on Tuesday, Nov. 29.

The church’s website announced that they teach the good news of Jesus Christ and help kids learn how to love and serve their Lord and Savior. They noted that they would run the AWANA program from 2022 to 2023.

According to CBC, they started the AWANA program on Tuesday, Sept. 6, on-site. They explained that the program would be a nine-month ministry every Tuesday night from 6:20 p.m. to 8 p.m.

In addition, they noted that they have programs for children from three years old to high school. They added that kids could register all year round.

In the kid’s section, the CBC emphasized the Scripture from Psalm 34:1, which invites the children to come and listen so they can learn how to honor the Lord. As part of the church’s goals, they explained that they want to be with parents in raising their kids.

Moreover, they said they want to assist them in nurturing their children and drawing them closer to God.

Besides, the church revealed that they are using the Generation of Grace Curriculum. They added that the goal of this curriculum is to evangelize children to glorify God. They also encourage the parents and develop the servants.

As further explained, it is a three-year curriculum for the kids to study the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.  The CBC emphasized that the curriculum is rooted in the Scripture and focused on God.

The website said it is a suitable lesson, meaning all levels of kids would study the same Bible passage weekly.

More importantly, the parents are part of the program that allows them to interact with their kids on the same Biblical truth, as further highlighted on the website. Besides, they noted that they send devotional materials for parents and coloring activities for the children.

AWANA organization

The AWANA website explained that God had used the AWANA ministry to reach out to kids for over six decades. They added that equipping leaders and transforming the world are also part of their mission.

In addition, the website emphasized that the unchanging truth of the gospel drives its vision. They desire to connect with kids in every corner of the world as they face firmly into the future and continue to let God use them in transforming people.

According to Wess Stanford from Compassion International, she admires AWANA, so she sits in the front row for many years to watch their program discipling children. Stanford added that AWANA serves as an inspiration to families.

Moreover, she said it enlightens the church about the value of bringing the children to Jesus.

Meanwhile, Pastor Kita from Kanynjre, Malawi, highlighted that a program for kids like AWANA could help them develop their social and rational skills. Also, it helps them develop their spiritual growth.

He emphasized on the website that AWANA is his answered prayer.
