On Sunday, May 22, at Flood Church Auditorium, Special Guest Speaker Todd Lollar talks about Weak is the New Strong. Members are encouraged to come and hear as Lolla shares his experiences and how one’s most significant weakness could be their strength.

On Tuesday, May 17, Lolla grew up with cerebral palsy and was bound to a wheelchair on the church's Facebook post

Celebration Continues

The church celebrated its building dedication celebration last Sunday, May 15. The church website announced on May 17 that they thanked everyone who joined their Building Dedication.

They highlighted that this was their most significantly attended meeting so far. The church knew that the said event would not be possible without the faithful and sacrificial giving of so many in the last three years.

The church announced that they would also thank their staff and volunteers for giving their hand in making such a memorable and unique event.

In line with this, the church also noted that they wanted to continue their celebration as they welcomed Lollar. Pastor Matt stated that he had been captivated and encouraged by reading Lollar’s book. He said that he was looking forward to hearing from him. The church also stated that it could be a meaningful Sunday.

Besides, as a part of their celebration, the church desires to give one last chance to donate to their latest church plant in Malawi, Africa. Members could provide it through their website.

Weak, New Strong

The Audible website posted the publisher’s summary of Todd Lollar’s Weak Is the New Strong. In the said summary, the author emphasized that having cerebral palsy caused him to be stuck in a wheelchair and slowed his speech. The website revealed that Lollar’s condition has always been apparent. He never had the choice to hide his shortcomings, the website added. The said escape is impossible.

However, by God’s movement in the sufferings, Lollar became sincerely thankful for what many consider tragic. He expresses an invitation to walk through his stories and dynamic biblical discoveries of God’s perspective on weakness in the said book.

Also, he shared how to see our greatest weakness, whatever it may be, can be changed by God’s power. God desires his power to give life to every individual to serve others; Lollar gave some advice on how God could transform their flaws into their greatness.

The key to a prosperous life is knowing to live confidently in God's power through your weaknesses, not despite them, the website stated.

Meet Todd Lollar

The website also posted how the author, Lollar, is being used by God despite his shortcomings. He is defined as a wheelchair-rolling, speech-impaired, but cerebral palsied servant of God. He is a minister of the gospel, they mentioned. He is also the founder and executive director of Mobilize Ministries ™ with the crucial mission of having a missional life expanding the Good News of Jesus.

Lollar finished his master’s degree in biblical studies from Abilene Christian University. Driven by his burning desire to minister to people, he has journeyed across the nation, giving speeches and inspiring people worldwide to follow Jesus passionately and share the Gospel in their daily lives.
