Foothills Christian Church encouraged parents to attend the Royal Rangers Parent Night to learn how their sons can grow in their faith on Monday, Sept. 12, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the youth auditorium.
The church’s announcement posted that the parent night is a small-group church ministry for boys and young men. These boys are in grades K-12, as added on the website.
Besides, the website informed parents that this ministry is based on activities to help boys and teenagers become Christ-like men in the future. They reach out to boys and young men to train and empower them as part of their program.
As the website mentioned, they desire to make these young boys lifelong servant leaders.
Cross-generational Ministry
According to the Royal Ranger’s website, they are working on various ages and characters of multiple generations. Their programs are designed for kids, teenagers, and adult men. As further explained, every activity they have is created to motivate boys and young men in their journey with God.
Moreover, the website said that the ministry uses a hands-on, interactive learning approach based on their particular needs and interests.
Royal Rangers offers resources for men to follow Jesus’ manhood. They added that their mentoring activities are rooted in the Bible. As further explained, their mentorship program for boys is also centered on Jesus and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
In their Bible studies, Royal Rangers mentioned that they teach boys how to study the Bible and live out the things they are learning. They said that they also discuss the doctrine and biblical worldview.
The website said Royal Rangers teach integrity, cultural conflict, and manhood. They added that they are shaping the boys to become servant leaders.
Royal Rangers are training them to impact society with the proper behavior. Also, the website said that through their programs, boys could learn skills in leadership and servanthood.
Program as Outpost
According to the same website, they call the Royal Rangers program at a local church an “outpost.” They explain that they might have one or more groups that follow program activities according to the interests and abilities of boys.
At Royal Rangers, they provide four categories for each age group, as mentioned on the website. They noted that Ranger Kids is designed for boys from kindergarten to grade two. The Discovery Rangers are programs for grades three to five, as added on the website.
For higher grades, the ministry offers the Adventure Rangers for grades six to eight and the Expedition Rangers for grades nine to twelve, as further explained on the website.
Evangelize, Equip, Empower
Royal Rangers said they focused their mission on evangelizing, equipping, and empowering young boys and young men. They based their purpose on the scripture from Matthew 28:18-20.
It is written that Jesus told his followers to go into the world and make people in all countries His disciples. He ordered them to baptize them in His name, the Father’s and the Holy Spirit's. As further mentioned in the scripture, Jesus told his disciples to share all his teachings and commands.
