Children are invited to join a fun week at Journey Community Church’s Summer Fun Camp 2022 from July 11 to July 15.

The church website announced that this year’s theme would be “iSpy Jesus,” which is based on the Scripture of Matthew 7:7 that says, “See and you will find.” The church added that this event would be a week of live worship, games, and crafts.

Besides, participants would also learn from Bible lessons and field trips. They prepare a lot of fun activities as posted on the website. The field trip transportation is sponsored by La Mesa-Spring Valley School Buses.

They also informed members that the camp is for children aged five from July 11 through finishing 5th grade this year.

Camp Schedule

The church announced that campers would do crafts, live worship, and learn exciting lessons every morning. Then they would play outdoor games and have time for their specific groups.

In the afternoon, the church mentioned that children must prepare for a different adventure. They added that there would be a lot of on-campus entertainment and programs. They said that they want campers to experience the fun summer camp.

They informed parents or guardians that they prepared high energy, live worship, and lighting effects. They also have a lot of transitions from one program to another. The church is welcome for any discussion as posted on its website.

Journey Kids

The Journey Kids section revealed that the church believes that children are exceptional. They noted that children need a continuous demonstration of Christ’s love at every age. The church believes that it is vital for them to offer a safe, motivating place of learning for every age level during service or event.

Moreover, they believe that children need a place appropriate for their age. They have programs and volunteers equipped to love and strengthen the children parallel to all their adult weekend services,

Throughout the year, the church posted that they host special programs such as Child Dedications, Summer Fun Camp, and parent training days. This training is intended to assist the family in enjoying and connecting in some life-altering ways.

Helping Kids Seek God

The SBC website revealed a recent study stating that the average American watches revision for about four hours daily. That is 1,460 hours a year. This research only observed live television viewing habits, so numbers would increase if they included those watching Netflix, Youtube, and Facebook.

These entertainments make it hard for parents to do as Paul suggested in Ephesians 5 to make the best of the time as days are evil.

As mentioned in the scripture on Deuteronomy 6:5-7, the website said that parents need to spend time teaching their children about everything that God has commanded them. It is significant accountability, and the church wants to work with them as a support.

The website said that parents weigh the primary responsibility and capability to guide their children into a genuine relationship with Christ. They added that the 40/ 3000 Principle states that the church must work with parents to give them tools and resources for nurturing their families well.
