Luminous City
The mission of Luminous City is to create experiences for the people in their city to fall in love with Jesus and become His followers, as stated on their website. The church mentioned that its vision is to start a movement that turns cities into beacons of hope for the world through their community of churches.
Furthermore, one of their core values is to follow Jesus to change their hearts. They said that no one could transform lives like Jesus, who revealed God’s character and love of the world. The church thinks that Jesus came into the world to give hope and His church is the vehicle of that hope to others.
Soul Church
One of the local churches that would be a part of the said event is the Soul Church, wherein they thrive to be followers in the city to witness the transformation in San Diego as it is in heaven, as posted on the said website.
The Soul Church’s website stated that their Soul Circles, where their church family allowed to do Life together by inviting individuals to be part of the body of Christ and mature in their faith and friendship, and serve each other and their community.
Second Sunday
Meanwhile, the Second Sunday church mentioned that they exist for reconciliation to witness heaven touch the earth to help their city flourish. Their website highlighted that they see people conformed to God returning to their genuine selves, unlocked by Love to love one another well, all caught up in God’s magnificent purpose to bring back the Garden realities on earth.
They added that their vision takes place through "rhythms of life" that make space for being with God and all them to live by their most profound desires. They believe that the “human condition.” is often depicted as a sense that something is missing in their lives. By returning to the Lord daily and even every moment, people could discover their natural Source in which they could find wholeness, as explained on their website.
