Point Loma Community Presbyterian Church (PLCPC) invites members to join the Forever Fit-Gentle Exercise Class every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The church announcement posted that this activity is in collaboration with the Ryan Family YMCA.

Discovering Community

PLCPC is a multi-generational community that welcomes growth together, as the church’s website revealed. They noted that they walk to have a deeper faith and change the world. The church desires to care for each other, whether an individual is a student, a first-time parent, part of a growing family, or finds themselves home-bound.

The church also noted that people live in a culture with more connections yet no intimate bonds. They believe they must be determined in their relationships and commitments. They said that they intended to do life with others.

The website added that the church invites others as they continue to pursue their mission to serve Jesus and influence their community. The church mentioned that they would allow expressing one's gifts. They could do this through leadership within the church entirely. The church also stated that its members would have the privilege to vote on church matters.

More importantly, people would have the chance to have meaningful growth in a caring community.

Ryan Family YMCA

As mentioned in the church’s announcement, the church works with the Ryan Family YMCA in holding the said exercise. According to the YMCA website, it is a non-profit designed to improve the quality of human life. The group also exists to help all individuals realize their full capabilities as children of God by enriching the spirit, mind, and body.

The same website emphasized that the organization is the second biggest YMCA association in the nation. YMCA helps nearly 400,000 San Diego County residents and has over 5,000 employees.

The Y unites men, women, and kids through various programs and services they offer.

The organization centers its programs on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The group noted that regardless of age, salary, or background, the organization nurtures the potential of kids and teenagers. The group does this to improve the nation's health and well-being.

They added that they are given opportunities to give back and support their community.

The webpage also noted that the nation’s top non-profit is committed to empowering their neighborhood. YMCA believes strong communities are attainable only when they invest in their children, health, and community.

They mentioned that people continue supporting, motivating, and connecting to others to bring a meaningful transformation. The organization said that they provide these necessities abundantly.

Healthy Living

One of the focuses of the said organization is to nurture individuals to live healthier lifestyles. The website said the group gathers kids, adults, and families in San Diego. The organization gives the support and guidance they need to live a healthier lifestyle.

Aside from that, the team also provides resources needed to improve their well-being in spirit, mind, and body.

The website added the two other focuses of the organization, such as youth development and social responsibility.
