Redeemer’s Grace Church (RGC) welcomes young people to register and attend a week at Youth Camp 2022: Programmed to Know, from Aug. 1 to 5 at El Camino Real San Diego.
The church’s Instagram post announced that the youth camp desires to share engineering lessons, programs, and projects. It is to prepare the younger generation for all experience levels. According to them, it is also an opportunity for Redeemers to share with youth and families.
Show Workmanship of God
According to the RDC’s Youth Camp section, the purpose of the one-week camp centers on demonstrating God’s workmanship to teenagers in their local neighborhood through engineering.
As further explained on the webpage, the RGC wants to promote development in modern technology and admiration for their Creator.
The same website highlighted the scripture from Psalm 104:24, which says, “Oh Lord, how many are Your works? In wisdom, God has made them all; the earth is full of Your possessions.”
Core Team
RGC also emphasized that their group of engineers developed the concept for this year’s youth camp theme. They prepared a high-level conceptual overview and a hands-on Arduino-based curriculum, as further explained on the website.
The same website posted the core team involved in making the camp concept possible. Ben Cho is the advisor for the Youth Ministry. The church stated that he is a research scientist and completed his Masters in Biology at UC San Diego. They also posted that Cho likes Immunology.
In addition, Sara Tran is the Co-Director and Curriculum Lead, according to the same site. The church said that she works as a Product Support Applications Engineer. They added that Tran finished her Master's in Mechanical Engineering at UC San Diego.
Another core group member is Jason Ly, middle school Math and History teacher. The website also posted the other three group members: Michael Yap, Renny Ng, and Vannessa Chen.
Scope of the Program
The same webpage noted that the camp at RGC would provide various opportunities for their students to discover many engineering concepts. They would cover teamwork, 3D visualization, ethics, and problem-solving topics.
As posted on the website, one of the highlights of the camp is the chance to learn and participate in hands-on Arduino projects. They informed campers that they could take their robot home at the week's end.
Redeemer’s Youth Ministry
The Redeemer’s Youth Ministry stated that they are passionate about letting the Scripture impact the lives of the church’s middle and high school students. They added that they want their young members to discover God and love him entirely.
According to the same website, the RGC hosts programs designed for these students every Saturday at 1 p.m. Students at RGC spend time together learning more about God’s Word and the truth about Him.
In addition, at RGC, they believe that parents are the most influential on their students. The church informed the parents that they are passionate about giving them full support as they disciple their kids.
Members at RGC genuinely pray that students could see the importance of God’s scripture, and it would be their guidelines in their lives in today’s generation.
