Rock Church announced they need volunteers and sponsors for the upcoming 26th Toy for Joy on Sunday, Dec. 10, on all its campuses.

The church’s Facebook page stated that the program would be for the community, where they work with local businesses and supporters. They explained that these partners help give groceries and toys to families around San Diego.

Moreover, by collaborating with people in business and individuals, Rock Church said it could give hope this Christmas to each family, as mentioned in the post.

They added that the program is an excellent opportunity for its members to serve and give toys.

In addition, they said that five of their campuses would hold the program, so the congregation could choose where they want to serve. The post mentioned they could donate toys anytime by purchasing them at their online toy store.

More importantly, the church’s Facebook post emphasized that through serving and donating, members could impact the lives of families living across Southern California.

Rock Church also asked them to pray that each participant would personally encounter the Lord Jesus Christ during the program. The church wants them to accept Jesus’ hope this Christmas season.

Children’s Dream Come True

The Toys for Joy website said it hopes members would be one of the many people who have satisfaction in giving to vulnerable individuals. They emphasized that volunteering or providing financial grants could make kids’ dreams a reality.

As the website explains, they are looking for individual support and corporate sponsors this Christmas. They want to offer a great Christmas experience for some struggling families in San Diego.

Best San Diego’s giving spirit

The same website emphasized that the Toys for Joy program shows the best giving spirit in San Diego. They noted that the event could gather residents and neighbors from around their city to spread the joy of the holiday season.

More importantly, Toys for Joy brings happiness to the less fortunate in the county, as further explained on the website. They added that people's lives are changed by distributing groceries, clothing, and more.

San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer said on the website that he is proud to witness this initiative develop yearly.

The website highlighted that more than two in five children suffer from food scarcity in San Diego, based on the KidsData website.

Meanwhile, Pastor Miles McPherson of the Rock Church emphasized that more than anything else, individuals need to level up and help those in need this year.
