Saddleback Church San Diego calls out to all their volunteers for an opportunity to make them feel loved at their Volunteer Celebration 2022 on June 24 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The church’s Event Section announced they would have all types of unique things prepared for them. They wanted to express their appreciation for all they did to serve at Saddleback San Diego.
Every Member, Minister
The church emphasized on its Ministry webpage that each part of the church is a ministry. They noted that people are made for ministry to reflect the image of their creator.
The church also posted scripture from Ephesians 2:10, which says, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them,"
The website revealed that Saddleback Church San Diego has 21 programs. These ministries include groups for men, women, singles, marriage, etc.
There are also 30 church operations where members can join and volunteer. These services include accounting, media work, and beautifying the church operation. They also have spiritual formation and so on.
As for their ministries for local community service, the church has 49 programs provided. At the same time, there are 11 ministries for national and global community service. Also, 54 ministries are designed for their care and support.
They also offer voluntary work for their 17 sports and physical health programs, as posted on their website.
The church also highlighted that they have 40 ministries for worship and events. They also created 13 programs for the children and students.
Appreciation Matters
Aware3 website stated that volunteers are the core of the church. They added that these people give their time without charge because of their passion for the ministry they serve.
Without their assistance, the church would not function in the same way. That is why it is essential to give them recognition, as posted on the website.
In addition, appreciating volunteers is about honoring those priceless, beautiful, and selfless people. They give their time, money, and strength to serve. One reason is that the website says that all individuals need to be recognized in a meaningful way for their initiatives.
The website said humans like to know their efforts make a difference. They added that this appreciation would help them build their self-esteem, motivation, and confidence.
They said if volunteers knew that people saw their work, it could also give them a sense of community.
Recognition is vital to keeping these people around and returning to serve. The website said that volunteers are more likely to feel attached to the church and continue to be involved if they feel appreciated and significant.
They also posted that appreciated volunteers are more likely to become dedicated ambassadors.
They said a spirit-filled volunteer binds church members together and ignites the light within others. When these people feel happy about the efforts they make to serve their church, they can share it with their friends and in their neighborhood.
The website stated they become energetic ambassadors, inspiring others to work with them.
Lastly, those who are actively part of their church want to donate their money because they care about the programs. The website noted a survey showing that most volunteers are donors, and donors are usually volunteers.
