The NextGen, kids, and student ministries of Saddleback Church will hold a night of fellowship for parents on Friday, Oct. 14, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The church’s announcement posted that the children's and students' ministries desire to allow parents to be strengthened and connected. They explained that they acknowledged that parenting is difficult and takes a lot of people to raise a kid.
The NextGen team said they are praying and hoping parents would be motivated and receive wisdom through this event. They added that they want them to be inspired and have time to relax and know others.
Besides, the church also announced that they would provide dinner and childcare for kids below five.
Saddleback Kids Ministry
On the Kid’s page, the church believes that children should be connected, trained, and strengthened. They explained that the kids should meet various children and someone that would lead them.
In addition, they mentioned that at Saddleback Kids, they create a group where children could feel they belong and mature in their spiritual journey. The website added that the church uses resources and knowledge to develop the kid’s faith in Jesus.
Moreover, Saddleback Kids emphasized that they exist to boost the confidence of the children to help others and proclaim Jesus worldwide.
They said that the church designed this ministry to help the children relate to God and others while guiding them in living in their purpose.
Saddleback Student’s Ministries
Meanwhile, the church’s student ministries section revealed that this program is to assist students to become “exposed, experience, express” Jesus. As further explained, Saddleback church wants to guide learners in encountering their life-transforming connection with Jesus Christ.
At the student’s ministries, they are teaching learners about God’s Kingdom and the five biblical goal of His church, as noted on the website.
Appreciating Parents
According to the Healthier Michigan website, it means so much for parents to know that their children appreciate them. As added on the website, it could be a way of making their relationship more vital as a family.
However, they noted that most parents do everything they can not because parents want to be appreciated but because they want their children to be happy.
The website stated some advice on how kids could show their gratitude to their parents. They said that children could cook delicious and healthy food for them. The website highlighted that one way to express love is by preparing home meals.
Another way kids could thank their parents is to assist them with household chores, as added on the website. They explained that children could spend the weekend helping their parents with cleaning, repairing, or handling their laundry.
Gratitude
As further posted on the website, spending quality time is unbeatable in showing that kids value their parents. They noted that they could enjoy a picnic or hike on weekends. The website stated they could also go on a trip to share happy memories.
The website said children could remind their parents about something they did that is so meaningful to them. In this way, they could show their gratitude to them, as noted on the website.
