Saddleback Church invites those interested in volunteering for its children’s ministry to attend the New Leader Orientation on Thursday, Aug. 18, at the church’s Ministry Center.

The church’s website noted that they welcome those interested in using their unique skills for children. It church encouraged them to start making a difference in the lives of the children.

As posted on the website, their volunteers are giving their time and strength weekly so they can serve in the ministry. T

he church claims to prepare a place for the children to discover Jesus. As the website added, they would be the first to smile when the kids enter their classroom.

They said that these volunteers also teach Bible lessons to children weekly.

All Members as Ministers

The church’s ministry page emphasized that at Saddleback Church, they believe every member is a minister.

As further explained, the church believes God made humans for ministry to embody the Creator’s image. The website quoted the scripture from Ephesians 2:1, which says that humans are God’s workmanship. In the scripture, it is written that man is made in Jesus for good deeds.

The scripture stressed that God prepared people for the mission, so they should abide in them.

Saddleback Kids

According to the official Saddleback Kids website, the church designed the Kid’s ministry to lead children to a relationship with God. The program exists to guide them in living in their purposes.

As further noted, Saddleback believes every child deserves to be known, connected, and empowered. They added that leaders and other kids should relate to others to help children grow spiritually. Besides, Saddleback Kids equips children by providing tools and knowledge to develop a strong faith in Jesus.

The ministry believes that they should strengthen the younger generations so they can serve and share Jesus in the world.

Benefits of being Kid’s Volunteer

The KMC Ministries website posted some advantages of serving in the church’s children's ministry.

One of the benefits they posted is that serving in the kid’s ministry could help an individual mature spiritually. The website emphasized that while volunteers teach the children, the kids also teach them.

It noted that it could have an incredible impact on those preparing lesson plans.

Another benefit the website stressed is that serving at the kid’s ministry could give volunteers self-satisfaction. It could provide more happiness. They noted, “the happiest people are those doing what God created them to do.”

The website explained that God had provided each person with unique skills and gifts to help them serve others. Through teaching the children, they noted that they could enrich those spiritual gifts. They could achieve this through training.

Creating Impacts in Selfish World

More importantly, the KMC ministries emphasized that volunteers could create an impact on the children they are serving. They added that volunteering could give them the chance to assist in disciplining kids in their faith.

As further noted, teaching children could allow volunteers to be part of something more than themselves. Being a part of the ministry could help them win over selfishness, as posted on the website.

Since we live in a selfish world, joining a church could help them realize that there is something more than themselves, as the website explains.
