Saddleback Church will start the “Missing Peace” series over the next few weeks.

The church’s Facebook page announced that as they celebrate Jesus’ birth, they also want to celebrate peace greater than their present sufferings. They explained that they would discuss how Jesus is connected to experiencing peace in every aspect of their lives.

Manger

According to the church’s website, people have seen unusual societal division in the past years. Saddleback Church admitted that many are facing worries in their minds and bitterness in their community.

As further revealed, some suffer from home disruption and heartache. They added that people are left wondering and seeking answers to where they can find peace.

Saddleback Church's website emphasized that “the answer to this lies in a manger.” They explained that Jesus is the manger that could give peace that removes their doubts and fears. They added that the peace that comes from Jesus is founded in love.

Moreover, the church encouraged its members to join their current series to discover “The Missing Peace.”

Source of Peace

The Bibles for America website revealed two verses in the Gospel of John that discussed the source of peace. The first Scripture they highlighted came from John 14:27, which talks about Jesus leaving His peace to those who believe in Him.

In the Scripture, Jesus reminded His disciples not to let their hearts worry or be afraid.

Moreover, the website emphasized that the Lord Jesus vowed to give His eternal peace. They explained that He was the God that could provide a unique source of genuine peace. They added that His peace is far different from what the world could offer.

In addition, they stated that people could never find genuine peace in the world. The website mentioned that it might seem impossible based on people's circumstances, but they could have authentic peace from the Lord.

They stressed that people do not need to be anxious or afraid.

Believers

The same website highlighted what Jesus said in the Scripture of John 16:33. He said that people would suffer in this world. He emphasized that He would give His peace, and He has overcome the world.

They explained that God did not promise His people would not experience challenges and difficulties. As further stated, though they are redeemed from sin, they still live in this world of distress.

However, Jesus has given his comfort to those who believe in him. The website noted that they could find comfort in knowing that believers can have peace amidst suffering.

Inescapable Problems

According to the Bibles for America, even those who believe and follow Jesus cannot escape obstacles. But the difference is that they can experience God’s peace amidst their difficulties.

On the website, they stated that the solution for having peace that comes from God is through “prayer and petition with thanksgiving.” They explained that if people would turn their hearts to communicating with God, they could have wonderful outcomes.

In addition, they revealed that Believers could not get away with social isolation, job insecurity, and financial obligations. They added that they could not escape the things that worried them.
