They also posted all the volunteers’ available committees, such as the setup team, food, catapulting peeps, egg hunt, bounce house, Emcee, take-home gift, security, face painters, crafts, ring toss, and clean up.

Seacoast Community: Kid’s Ministry

Seacoast Community Church believes that the church should be enjoyable. The Kids Ministry Team uses dramas, games, music, and more to bring God’s word to life mentioned on their website. Their program for children is available during their morning service on Sundays.

They also added that they anticipate holding a once-a-month Saturday night programming called Kids Night out.

Each group is carefully created to meet the needs of the children members as they grow and mature, the church added. They also posted that their Kids Ministry is designated with three age groups- Groms for 0 to 5 years old, Divers for Grade 1 to Grade 4, and Amped for Jesus for Grades 5 to 6.

Additionally, the church stated that its curriculum is based on the Bible, and children could learn foundational truth from it. The team mentioned that their tools would help them grow in their understanding that God made and loves them, also use them to assist others to discover life in Jesus.

How Easter Egg Hunt Hatched

In a blog post on the English Heritage website on March 16, 2018, Dr. Andrew Hann exposed the history of Easter Eggs hunts. He stated that every Easter, children across the country run around their homes and gardens looking for chocolate eggs, and for many families, Easter is not an Easter without the annual egg hunt.

According to Hann, eggs are relevant with spring and new life in many pre-Christian societies. He added that Early believers adopted these beliefs, making the egg a symbol of the resurrection and the empty shell symbolizing Jesus’ tomb.

Furthermore, the blogger explained that eating eggs was forbidden during the Lenten season for 40 days before Easter in the medieval era. He also mentioned that the fast ended with feasting and merriment on Easter Sunday, and eggs are considered a crucial part of the said celebration. In 1290, Edward I bought 450 eggs decorated with colors or gold leaf then distributed them to his household, Hanns reported.

The tradition of the Easter egg hunt comes from Germany, as mentioned on the website. The blogger added that some suggest that it began in the late 16th century when the Protestant reformer Martin Luther held egg hunts for his congregation. According to him, men would hide the eggs for the women and children to look for them, wherein they relate it to the story of the resurrection, in which women found the empty tomb.
